Immutable X (IMX) says it is collaborating with Ubisoft's Paris-based lab to create new innovative gaming experiences within the realm of web3. The company say the collaboration aims to redefine the future of web3 gaming, with Ubisoft leveraging its game development experience to complement Immutable's ecosystem and technological capabilities in building a leading web3 gaming platform.

Ubisoft, though known for innovation, has faced challenges in the word of web3 gaming. A previous attempt to introduce blockchain-based non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to the Ghost Recon game garnered criticism, leading Ubisoft to reconsider. Despite setbacks, the company remains committed to web3 gaming experimentation most notably with their latest game, 'Champions Tactics™ Grimoria Chronicles'. The game, currently under development with a native web3 direction, is a Player versus Player (PVP) Tactical RPG.
