The team behind The Beacon Game has recently shared an exciting update to their roadmap, shedding light on their current endeavors and planned features for the coming months. While the roadmap is mainly focused on game enhancements, they have promised more news and updates in the near future. This comes around a month following their Harvester event with Bridgeworld.

The third quarter of 2023 is going to see significant developments in The Beacon Game. These include a finalized combat system for a more thrilling gaming experience. Additionally, they plan to introduce smarter enemies and pathfinding for a more engaging gameplay.

Cosmetic enhancements are also on the cards, providing users with a more detailed and comprehensive customization experience. Another exciting feature they are set to launch is the town square. On top of this, they are also working on an upgraded, user-friendly website, termed Website 2.0.

The final quarter of 2023 also holds several surprises for the gamers. Procedural generation will add variety and replayability to the game with randomly generated levels. The developers will also be introducing full roguelite gameplay, an array of new weapons and playstyles, and an improved house builder for more immersive and customizable base building. Additionally, they are working on making the boss fights more challenging and thrilling, along with introducing consumables and trinkets to further enhance the gaming experience.

Looking further ahead, the first quarter of 2024 is set for the official Alpha launch of The Beacon Game. In addition to this, an online social hub will be introduced, providing an interactive platform for players to connect and interact.

The developers are also preparing to launch a progression system for players to level up their characters, a standalone game client to enhance the player experience, and a preliminary pet system to give a first glimpse into pet companions in the game.

Beyond 2024, The Beacon Game has ambitious plans including a full release of the game, introducing co-op mode for team play, player versus player gameplay, and more challenging competitive gameplay elements. In a bid to encourage creativity among players, they also plan to roll out a User-Generated Content (UGC) map builder for players to create and share their own maps. Another exciting feature will be the introduction of a system for breeding pets and a marketplace to trade them.
