In another noteworthy announcement for Axie Infinity fans, the highly anticipated Postseason of Origins Season 7 has officially begun, bringing a wave of updates for the Axie Infinity community (aka Lunacians). The Rare Era and Epic Era are over, leaving behind a legacy of heated competition and strategic battles.
The team will crown the "Axie Infinity: Origins Season 7 Champion" in the next few days. For those interested you can watch the Elite 8 battle it out on the official Twitch livestream this Sunday, 8 am EST, and see who comes out on top.
In this deep dive, we will cover all the latest and greatest details about what’s coming to Axie Infinity Origins during the Offseason.
The upcoming Offseason will be split into two parts: the Season 7 Postseason and the Season 8 Preseason. The Season 7 Postseason will feature the Elite 8 Tournament, while the Season 8 Preseason will feature a few extra surprises.
The team is currently finalizing Season 8 balancing patch details, with plans to go live 2 weeks from now and make Season 8 Runes and Charms available for free in the Origins shop before the start of the Season. There will also be a Season 8 Pre-Season Cup tournament on March 27th, with around 2,000 AXS on offer for players who participate.
The team also celebrated the Top 8 players from Origins Season 7 Final Era, with special mentions going to Enrico for earning the top spot, and YGG for getting three players to the Elite Eight. Everyone on the list below has been invited to the Battle for the Crown on March 10th.
Battle it out for the Season 7 crown and a 1,200 AXS prize pool. This is what the tournament format will look like:
The Elite Eight are requested to join the Axie Tournament Discord server ASAP. Further details will be communicated there.
For Season 7 Collectible Box rewards, players were given Collectible Tickets. The total reward pool of 7K AXS will be distributed according to the number of Collectible Tickets each player has.
Total Reward Pool: 7,000 AXS
Total Collectible Tickets Issued: 10,729,773
Value of 1 Collectible Ticket: 0.65239 mAXS
These Collectible Tickets will be converted to mAXS according to the value mentioned above and the rewards will be distributed along with the seasonal rewards.
