Explore Zed Run, the exciting digital horse racing universe where players can own, breed, and race their unique digital racehorses.
Welcome to Zed Run, a digital horse racing universe where players can own, breed, and race their very own digital racehorses. Zed Run provides an exciting and immersive gaming experience that combines the thrill of horse racing with the strategic elements of horse breeding and stable management.
In Zed Run, players start by creating a stable for their digital racehorses. Each racehorse in Zed Run is unique, differentiated by their Bloodline, Breed Type, Coat Colour, Gender, and Genotype. These genetic factors, combined with additional characteristics, determine a racehorse’s overall ability.
Once players have their stable set up, they can participate in races to test their racehorses' abilities. All unraced racehorses must compete in a Griffin race to begin their racing career. After the Griffin race, racehorses must complete nine further Discovery races. These races are used to establish the racehorse's class rating, which in turn is used to assign it to a specific class once the Discovery races have been completed.
Breeding is a pivotal element within the Zed Run ecosystem. Just like in the real world, players can breed two racehorses together to produce a new offspring. Breeding in Zed Run requires skill and strategy, as the offspring's abilities are determined by the parent racehorses' characteristics.
By carefully selecting which racehorses to breed, players can create powerful offspring that can dominate the racetrack. Each racehorse born in Zed Run carries its own unique genetic profile. Racehorses have a chance to pass their genetic characteristics down through multiple generations. While direct parents have the largest influence on their offspring’s genetics, any ancestor in the family line is eligible to pass on their traits.
In Zed Run, there’s a variety of racing events and tournaments to participate in. Enter your racehorses into free or paid racing events to compete and win from prize pools. Tournaments are announced on Discord, other social channels, and on the Zed Run site itself. You can also consult the leaderboards to see which tournament is currently live.
The first step is to create a ZED RUN account, also known as a stable. While you can use your email to sign up, the recommended method is to use a MetaMask wallet. MetaMask is an Ethereum crypto wallet commonly used by Non-Fungible Token (NFT) marketplaces, like OpenSea.
Next, you need to send Ethereum (ETH) from Coinbase or another crypto wallet to your MetaMask. To get your MetaMask wallet address, click the Chrome extension, then click “Account 1” to copy your wallet address, or click account details, and take a photo of the QR code.
Go to ZED RUN and click “Start” in the upper right-hand corner. Then, select “Connect MetaMask” (not “Enter your email”). Follow the prompts to finish setting up your account, then go into Settings and add your email and your Stable name to your account.
You need to transfer Ethereum (ETH) to Wrapped Ethereum (WETH) to participate in the drop. Wrapped ETH is used so you don’t have to pay gas fees for buying horses, racing, and breeding.
On ZED, go to your Zed Wallet in the top right, scroll down to WETH Balance and click “Deposit”. Type in how much ETH you want to convert (Wrapping ETH does not affect its value, 1 ETH = 1 WETH) and click “Deposit to WETH Balance”. The process can take up to 30 minutes.
Remember, there will be gas fees on this transaction. You will use WETH to buy horses, enter races, and breed. Also, keep some ETH in your wallet to convert WETH back to ETH when you want to start the withdrawal process.
You can buy horses directly from the exclusive ZED genesis drops. However, if the horses are sold out, you can go on the secondary market from OpenSea. Visit the ZED RUN Official OpenSea page to explore available horses.
And that's it! You're now ready to start your ZED RUN adventure with your very own racehorse.
