Mythical Games has announced a collaboration with Pudgy Penguins to develop a new mobile party game based on the Pudgy Penguins IP. This partnership brings together notable figures from the web3 and gaming sectors, aiming to deliver an engaging mobile experience.
Pudgy Penguins, launched on Ethereum in August 2021, is a collection of 8,888 NFTs with a total trading volume of $376 million. The current floor price stands at 11 ETH, approximately $41,000. The project expanded in 2021 with the introduction of Lil Pudgys, consisting of 22,222 NFTs.
In 2022, Luca Schnetzler acquired the brand for $2.5 million. Under his leadership, Pudgy Penguins has released physical merchandise, including plushies that have sold 1 million units in 12 months.

Mythical Games, known for its work in web3 game development, particularly in the mobile space, is a fitting partner for this project. Their notable titles include NFL Rivals, and they are developing a mobile-first version of their PC party game Blankos Block Party, which concluded in 2023. Rudy Koch, a former Mythical executive, is an advisor to Pudgy Penguins, further solidifying the collaboration.
