In a significant milestone for the web3 gaming community, MixMob, the Solana-based blockchain racing game, has announced its acquisition of the licensing rights for Star Wars' iconic stormtrooper.

Web3 Racing Game

Described as a fusion of "Clash Royale and Mario Kart," MixMob prides itself on being a web3 racing game that embraces remix culture. The latest development sees the integration of the original stormtrooper into MixMob: Racer 1, setting the stage for a unique gaming experience.

MixMob also recently announced the introduction of its native token, $MXM, scheduled to debut on Bybit and other prominent crypto exchanges on February 1st, 2024. This development follows the noteworthy success of MixMob's MixBot NFT sale, where the company efficiently sold out 9,000 NFTs within a short span of 12 minutes, accumulating $2.25 million in proceeds.

The $MXM token is set to play a crucial role in powering the upcoming MixMob: Racer 1, a strategy card game intricately embedded in the Solana ecosystem.

In the game, players are invited to participate in a creative resistance movement within the "Remix Culture," earning rewards not only for gaming proficiency but also for showcasing creativity and style. The $MXM token facilitates active player engagement in the governance of the MixMob ecosystem through staking.

MixMox Goes Mobile

Despite being currently exclusive to desktop platforms, MixMob has revealed its intentions to expand its reach to mobile devices by the second quarter of this year. MixMob CEO, Simon Viera, a former Electronic Arts employee, outlined the company's vision of creating dynamic teams and factions centered around the iconic stormtroopers.

"Our vision is to create dynamic teams and factions that rally under the banner of the original stormtroopers, transforming them into symbols of unity and competition within the game," Viera stated in a recent press release.

MixMob, also secured a $7 million funding round approximately two years ago, positioning itself to be a pioneer in the evolving landscape of blockchain gaming. With the integration of the beloved Star Wars character, the company aims to captivate gamers and redefine the narrative of mobile gaming.
