US-based mobile game developer, InfiniGods, is making waves in the world of blockchain gaming with its latest announcement: the deployment of its mobile title, King of Destiny, on Arbitrum.
The move comes as a strategic decision, leveraging Arbitrum's advanced features such as invisible wallets, high-speed transactions, and top-tier mobile marketplace. In this article, we will cover everything you need to know about the launch on Arbitrum, as well as the InfiniGods collection of web3 games.
InfiniGods is described as a next-generation mobile gaming studio. They are building the popular gaming title, King of Destiny, which is coming to the Arbitrum Gaming Ecosystem beginning today.
InfiniGods says they chose Arbitrum primarily for its "invisible wallets, high-speed signless transactions, and a dynamic mobile marketplace". Arbitrum offers a low-cost, frictionless experience that is vital to ensure InfiniGods can scale its games, infrastructure, and blockchain-enabled experiences to a much larger mainstream audience.
King of Destiny, a new addition to the ‘Luck-Battle’ category, draws inspiration from popular titles such as CoinMaster and MonopolyGo. Players test their luck to win jackpots, travel across civilizations, build mythical cities, and defeat legendary monsters – all in their quest for fame, fortune, and glory.
“Arbitrum is the ideal network for King of Destiny,” said Damon Gura, InfiniGods, CEO. “Their low transaction costs, fast transaction speeds, and bustling community provide us with the environment and resources to scale King of Destiny to a global audience while delivering a next-generation player experience through blockchain technology.”
King Of Destiny introduces multiple new blockchain products into the InfiniGods ecosystem, all powered by Arbitrum. Through competition and gameplay progression, players can source Fate, a special currency that can be bundled into a Piggy Bank.
Piggy Banks exist as on-chain digital collectibles and can be freely traded on the marketplace to other players. They can later be broken permanently to credit Fate back into the players’ accounts. Additionally, Fate can be used to purchase rare and limited-edition Avatars through a scintillating pack-opening experience, providing players with a fun way to collect beloved characters from King Of Destiny’s storyline.
InfiniGods is a mobile gaming company creating a web3 gaming ecosystem by leveraging blockchain technology that enables players to become stakeholders and owners in new “play and own” game economies.
Led by gaming industry veterans, the team specializes in building games around player-owned economies and has helped develop major franchises including Mobile Strike, Game of War, Old Vegas Slots, The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, and Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem.
InfiniGods’ Platform shields gamers that may be new to blockchain through a smart wallet for their digital items, while allowing advanced players the freedom to link their own wallets. With its “player experience first” focus, the InfiniGods Platform ensures gamers don’t need to dive into the intricacies of blockchain to enjoy ownership of their digital collectibles and have a great gaming experience.
The Arbitrum Foundation, founded in March 2023, supports and grows the Arbitrum network and its community with secure scaling solutions for Ethereum.
Arbitrum One is a leading Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution initially developed by Offchain Labs. It offers ultra-fast, low-cost transactions with security derived from Ethereum through Optimistic Rollup technology.
Launched in August 2021, the Arbitrum One mainnet beta is EVM-compatible to the bytecode level and has 54%+ TVL in the L2 segment. There are 2000 plus DeFi and NFT projects that are live in the ecosystem to date. In August 2022, Arbitrum One upgraded to Nitro tech stack, enabling fraud proofs over the core engine of Geth compiled to WASM.
Arbitrum also recently revealed an eight-week-long event called the Arbitrum Arcade. The on-chain Gameathon has been designed to showcase web3's most innovative gaming experiences, provide exposure and prizes to up-and-coming content creators, and bring in-game achievements on-chain with Clique, built on top of EAS (Ethereum Attestation Service).
Today’s announcement coincides with InfiniGods showcasing a live demo in partnership with Arbitrum at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.
David Bolger, Senior Partnerships Manager at Offchain Labs added, “King Of Destiny is a highly-anticipated mobile game to come to web3 gaming ranks and we’re excited that the team decided to make Arbitrum their home. The Inifinigods team are extremely distinguished game developers and it’s amazing to collaborate on this project. We’re excited for the growing gaming community on Arbitrum to get their hands on the game!”
