Hytopia, the web3 creator platform inspired by Minecraft, has initiated the node sale for its recently launched L2 blockchain, Hychain. The process commenced with an exclusive whitelist sale on Saturday, March 2nd, followed by the public sale on Sunday, March 3rd.
The node sale seeks to encourage community involvement through a rewards pool of 250 million $TOPIA tokens and an additional 25% share of perpetual transaction fees.
Over a 3-year period, node operators will be rewarded based on their uptime and the number of keys assigned to their node. With a limited supply of 50,000 keys, available in 30 pricing tiers, each tier offers the same functionality.
Tier 1, starting at 0.1 ETH, provides 3,183 node keys, with subsequent tiers adjusting quantities and prices accordingly. Participating node operators stand to gain $TOPIA tokens, along with added benefits like early access to beta features and exclusive in-game items.
ArkDev, the co-founder of Hytopia and Hychain, expressed optimism about the Hychain Node Sale, stating, "We're giving back to the community and incentivizing participation in network security. This is a positive development for web3, and we anticipate exciting creations by players using this technology."
He added, "By decentralizing our network's operation, we're empowering the community to shape the future of gaming."
The team reports having over 1,000 games registered to build on Hychain, which recently migrated from Polygon to Arbitrum. Hytopia, drawing inspiration from Minecraft, distinguishes itself by utilizing blockchain to establish user-driven economies and secure digital ownership for players and creators.

This move represents a significant step forward for the intersection of blockchain technology and gaming, as Hytopia continues to navigate the evolving landscape of decentralized gaming.
