Hytopia is all set to unveil its new 'Hychain' and the accompanying ecosystem. As a precursor to the launch, an eagerly awaited Node License Key sale has been announced, offering users the opportunity to run a software node for the Hytopia chain, earning rewards in $TOPIA tokens.
The Hytopia Node Sale kicks off on March 2nd at 2 pm PST, with the initial day exclusively reserved for those with coveted 'whitelist points.' The public sale opens on March 3rd at 2 pm PST. Accumulating whitelist points is achievable by holding Hytopia Worlds and Avatars or Gray Boy NFTs. Alternatively, users can earn whitelist points through engagement in Hyroller, a social interaction game through Zealy.
Whitelist Points and Tiers
Spanning four phases, each lasting six hours, the whitelist sale allows individuals to acquire Nodes based on their amassed whitelist points. The cost per Node decreases with each advancing phase, with Phase 1 pricing at 30 whitelist points per Node Key and Phase 2 dropping to 15 points per Node.
The financial aspect of Node acquisition operates on a tier system, independent of the sale phases. Tier one offers 3,183 Node licenses at 0.1 ETH each, with subsequent tiers featuring escalating prices and diminishing license availability. The complete details of the sale and whitelist mechanics are available in the official documentation on their website.
The Node Keys, pivotal components of the Hytopia network, will be intertwined with Guardian Nodes, the software infrastructure supporting the Hychain.
The Backbone of Hychain
Guardian Nodes form the backbone of the distributed server system for Hychain, Hytopia's gaming blockchain. Following the footsteps of notable projects like Ronin, Immutable X (IMX), and Gala Games, Hytopia has crafted its own chain to alleviate gas fees and ensure a seamless player onboarding experience.
A maximum of 50,000 Guardian Nodes will power the Hychain, each necessitating at least one Node License Key for rewards. Guardian Nodes will operate across Mac, Linux, and Windows platforms.
The Hytopia team has designated 250 million Hytopia tokens for Guardian Nodes, distributed over a three-year plan. In addition to this, Guardian Nodes are entitled to 25% of transaction fees as network rewards, distributed monthly based on uptime and the number of paired Node License Keys.

Crafting the Future of Gaming
Hytopia originated as a collection of 10,000 customizable virtual worlds, evolving to encompass its chain (Hychain) and native token ($TOPIA). Initially established on Minecraft as NFT Worlds, Hytopia underwent a comprehensive rebuild and rebrand after raising $3 Million in funding with the support of industry leaders Delphi Digital and Delphi Ventures.
Hytopia is being built to foster the “next generation of social play and games made by creators in a familiar voxel-like setting” using a new engine built from scratch. The team's goal is to blend long-sought social and modern features for players with a flexible, monetizable game creation toolkit for developers within a Minecraft-inspired playstyle.
While drawing inspiration from Minecraft, the Hytopia team seamlessly integrated web3 elements and tools for world builders. Although not mandatory, world owners can effortlessly incorporate the $TOPIA token, introduce play-and-earn features, and control access based on NFT ownership. Equipped with a homemade launcher and an integrated NFT marketplace, Hytopia is poised for a dynamic entry into the gaming landscape.
The mainnet launch for Hytopia is anticipated sometime in 2024. To delve deeper into the realm of Hytopia check out their game page on our website!
