Over the course of history, gaming has progressed from the pixelated graphics of DOOM and the early console days to incredibly detailed and realistic graphics like we have witnessed in the latest God of War: Ragnarok. Graphics can add a ton of value to a gaming experience and our final nominees for the GAM3 Awards Best Graphics title are stunning to look at from every angle. Let's get right into it and get to know each one of them so you can choose your winner.

Illuvium

Illuvium is an upcoming open-world exploration, NFT creature collector, and auto battler game in a graphically-rich sci-fi adventure where you conquer the wilderness, explore alien landscapes and uncover the cataclysmic events that shattered Illuvium. All of the gameplay footage we have seen so far from the title's Overworld mode is enough to keep you hooked while the Public Beta 2 of the game's Arena auto-battler mode features incredibly lovable Illuvials with tons of details in every movement and ability they do.

Each one of these segments could have been their own standalone game, but having both implemented together adds tremendous gameplay value and replayability potential for Illuvium that few can fathom.

Star Atlas

Star Atlas is a next-gen gaming metaverse emerging from the confluence of state-of-the-art blockchain, real-time graphics, multiplayer video games, and decentralized financial technologies. If you are familiar with Star Citizen or EVE Online, Star Atlas as a game won’t feel very foreign to you. This time however, thanks to the world of blockchain gaming, you will finally have control over all the in-game assets under your name. The four core gameplay mechanics are grand strategy, exploration, RPG, and space flight simulation.

In addition, there are several roles within the world of Star Atlas players can choose from. As mentioned before, you can become your faction’s strategy mastermind or control the intergalactic trading routes. The character you build within the game will represent you and your actions and decisions.

Metalcore

MetalCore is a futuristic, free-to-play, first-person/third-person multiplayer vehicular shooter powered by towering mechs, armored tanks, and high-flying jets fighting for dominance in large-scale battles. The game allows you to enjoy it cooperatively in its PvE mode as well as online PvP 50v50 mega-battles. In between battles you can roam freely as a lone wolf or cooperatively with others in an expanding sandbox map.

It is always a positive sign when you see traditional game developers adopting blockchain technology and delivering a game that you would have played regardless of the web3 label or not. Studio 369 have managed to achieve that with MetalCore. The game pulls you in with its incredible visuals, well-written lore, and massive scale PvP battles.

Big Time

Big Time is a multiplayer action RPG where you team up with friends to adventure across time and space. Explore ancient mysteries and futuristic civilizations as you battle your way through history. Every dungeon is procedurally generated, offering players precious NFT and non-NFT loot along their way while offering a special experience every time you boot up the game. Collect in-game items or hang out with friends with limitless environments and adventures that give you infinite replayability.

Big Time is the closest thing we have in web3 gaming to a replayable, enjoyable, and cooperative game that keeps you coming back everyday to grind away for better gear to stand out from the crowd. The feeling when you see a flashy character in the game's world brings memories of World of Warcraft and other MMOs we used to play growing up.

My Pet Hooligan 

My Pet Hooligan is AMGI Studio's flagship Web3 IP. AMGI studios is a creative Web3 entertainment company with deep experience in animation and gaming. My Pet Hooligan takes web3 gaming up a notch and gives players creative freedom over their own experience and how they want to play the game. The core My Pet Hooligan gaming experience is encapsulated within the Interloop. The Rabbit Hole is an iterative and open world experience that sits in a wider Unreal Engine 5 metaverse architecture being built by AMGI Studios called Interloop.
