Deadrop players should mark their calendars for the next big date: Snapshot VI is scheduled for release on July 11th. Prepare for another wave of thrilling features and enhancements in the game following the slew of new features that rolled out during Snapshot V.

At the time, Snapshot V unveiled a fresh series of theatrical extractions, enhanced attachments, and never-before-seen weapon skins, including the smoke grenade. The game now gives players the thrilling opportunity to respawn as a SYN and navigate the Rising Freeze, a novel feature where gamers strive to loot, extract, evade enemies, and ultimately survive before time runs out.

Snapshot V didn't stop there in terms of enhancements. The main menu now rings out with an official DEADROP theme song composed by renowned music artist Edouard Brenneisen, known for his work on popular games like Overwatch 2, Call of Duty, and League of Legends. Another exciting feature is the display of a Variant’s VisorCortex on face shields, which can be worn with all levels of combat helmets.

Additional changes for Deadrop players include the ability to loot a Variant’s ID Tag from their Deathbag upon death, storing it in their Stash to keep track of their Variant kills. Players are auto-assigned color combinations for their outfit and gear, which change each time they enter the tower, facilitating player identification.

Snapshot V heralded the implementation of a persistent inventory system, with a player's Stash consistently saved and validated by the server. An initial wipe occurred upon downloading the Snapshot and logging in for the first time, while future wipes will be communicated in advance. Snapshot V also enhanced the armor system, enabling players to find and equip helmets and chest armor with three tiers of damage reduction.

Considering how extensive the changes were between IV and V, what new features are you expecting to see on July 11th?
