Cantina Royale Details Major Game Updates Coming Next Few Months

Cantina Royale is a tactical arcade shooter game that falls within the same realm of Thetan Arena and Blast Royale. The studio's latest blog post detailed the amount of changes coming in the following weeks and months. Cantina Royale is set to receive two intermediate releases culminating in a major release around May of this year. Although the exact date of the major release is not yet confirmed, we plan to host play sessions with the community to finalize any remaining details.

The intermediate releases will focus on improving Performance (Ping), AFK Detection, reporting a player, and adjusting weapon parameters for better weapon balancing. Our goal has always been to create a game that is easy to get into but challenging to master, appealing to both casual and competitive players. The gameplay will be updated to include more strategic elements such as positioning, timing, decision-making, and team tactics.

One of the major changes coming to Cantina Royale is the introduction of unique and playable character races. The current free character system has not been successful in retaining new players, so we're excited to announce that Cantina Royale will feature 6 different and unique character races from the start. These character races will have unique abilities and fulfill different roles such as Soldier (balanced), Tank, and Assassin (glass cannon). The character races will also have a unique Ultimate ability. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more details on each character race.

In addition, we're introducing a new talent system that will give players more control over their character's abilities during gameplay. This system will also allow NFT owners to interact with the perks in Cantina Royale. The existing NFT perks will still be important but the talent system will provide additional benefits. The talent system will make the existing perks upgraded and unlocked.

The highly-anticipated team-based mode will also be included in the major release and will become the default standard mode for all players in Cantina Royale. The team-based mode will consist of 3 major modes: Team Deathmatch (3vs3), Kill Streak (3vs3), and Co-op VS AI (Practice Mode). The current FFA mode will return as a time-limited event along with other modes.
