The Axie Infinity team just relieved an important pressure point in Lunacia’s economy: AXP is now available in Homeland. Axie Experience Points (AXP) will begin to flow through players hands and enable faster part evolution among other feats.
In this article we will cover everything you need to know about how to earn AXP in Homeland, the game’s current AXP cap, and the teams strategic thinking behind this latest announcement.
The Axie Infinity launched Axie Experience Points (AXP) back in July of 2023, and shared their vision for Axie meta games – or “games within games.” This was the beginning of their journey towards vertical axie progression, which they did through Part Evolution in December. AXP is important because it makes dynamic NFT possible.
Today, you can earn AXP for your axies through Homeland. The team says they are working towards an ecosystem of Axie games infused with AXP, and this latest release is one step in that direction.
In Homeland, earn AXP by gathering, producing, crafting, constructing, upgrading, combining, or dismantling materials. You can earn up to 10,000 AXP/day per axie, and this daily cap resets every 24 hours at 00:00 UTC. Use this AXP to level up and ascend your axies in preparation for part evolutions on App.axie.
Note: The team will be adjusting the AXP earn rates based on feedback and the data they gather. For example, if they observe that the AXP earned from certain activities is higher than expected or lower than what's justified, given the difficulty of the task relative to others, they will make the necessary adjustments.
AXP is connected to specific axies. That means you’ll need to assign your own NFT axies to your land plots through the NFT Axie Management menu before they can earn AXP.
Step 1:
Assign axies to your land plots through the NFT Axie Management menu. At an Altar of Atia Level 1, you can assign 2 axies. At an Altar of Atia Level 10, you can assign 32 axies.
Step 2:
Complete in-game tasks like gathering, producing, crafting, constructing, upgrading, combining, and dismantling materials.
Step 3:
Collect your AXP. A green check mark will appear when the Axie Core daily cap for the axie has been met. This is like a “total cap” that accounts for AXP across multiple games – beyond Homeland. On the other hand, the progress bar shows AXP distribution for Homeland only.
Note: Stewards can earn AXP by assigning their own axie NFTs to their landlord’s plot. Landlords’ axies will be automatically removed from plot assignments upon delegation to Stewards. If you're a Steward, don't miss this chance to assign your own Axie and continue earning AXP while utilizing the Landlord's plot. For Landlords, note that Axies will be automatically removed from plot assignments upon delegation to your Steward.
The AXP you can earn from an activity depends on a variety of factors including plot type, task completion time, and the nature of the task itself.
You can earn ~5 AXP per Level 1 Tree chopped on a Genesis Plot, and up to 76 AXP for one instance of level 6 precious metal mine gathering. As a rule of thumb, higher blueprint or deposit levels and longer task completion times generate more AXP than lower blueprint or deposit levels and fast tasks.
If you want to level up or ascend your axies, the team encourage players to assign them to tasks that yield higher amounts of AXP – and upgrade your Altar of Atia to expand the number of axies you can assign. This is how you can earn the most AXP for your Homeland efforts.
Once your Axies reach the daily cap, remove them and replace with new Axies to maximize the AXP distribution. Remember to complete the task to earn the AXP.
