Football.Fun puts a new spin on fantasy sports by turning real footballers into tradeable assets. Instead of setting weekly lineups, you build a squad by opening packs, trading shares, and watching players perform in real matches. Tournaments run twice a week, rewarding you based on how well your squad does on the pitch. It’s part fantasy, part trading strategy, with a focus on staying sharp through real-world football action.
Football.Fun is a fantasy sports game that mixes real-life football performance with player trading mechanics. Instead of building lineups like in traditional fantasy leagues, players collect and trade “shares” in actual footballers. Your goal is to grow your squad’s total value, participate in weekly tournaments, and earn in-game currency based on how your players perform in real matches.

When you start playing Football.Fun, your account is loaded with 3,000 Gold and three Player Packs to get your squad going. Each pack includes four real-life football players, and each player comes with a specific number of shares. These shares represent your stake in the player's performance during tournaments.

You receive one free Player Pack every four hours, with a maximum of two packs stored at any time. If you don’t open your existing packs, the next one still gets queued, so checking in regularly helps keep your collection growing. Once opened, the players and shares you pull can either be traded on the market or kept in your squad, depending on your strategy and how you expect them to perform in upcoming matches.
Shares play a central role in Football.Fun’s gameplay. The more shares you own in a player who performs well in real matches, the greater your rewards in tournaments. Shares can be bought and sold using Gold, the game’s in-game currency. Every transaction comes with a 5% fee, which helps maintain a stable in-game economy and encourages more strategic trading.

Each player also comes with a limited number of contracts, starting at four. A contract is only consumed when that player steps onto the pitch in a real-life match. If a player is benched or injured, their contract remains untouched. This mechanic adds an extra layer of planning, since keeping your squad filled with active, match-ready players directly affects your ability to earn rewards. Monitoring lineups and player fitness becomes just as important as market timing.
Football.Fun runs two tournaments each week: the Midweek Tournament from Tuesday to Thursday, and the Weekend Tournament from Friday to Monday.Unlike traditional fantasy games, you don’t need to worry about setting a lineup. Any player in your squad who has an active contract and plays in a real-life match is automatically entered into the tournament.

Tournament performance depends on three main factors:
The fewer people who hold shares in a top-performing player, the bigger your cut of the rewards. Going for lesser-known players who punch above their weight can be more profitable than just stacking your squad with stars.
The scoring system in Football.Fun is built to capture a player's full impact during a match, not just headline stats like goals or assists. Each position has its own performance criteria. Goalkeepers earn points for clean sheets, key saves, and accurate distribution, but can lose points for errors. Defenders are rewarded for tackles, interceptions, and involvement in build-up play, with clean sheets adding value but not being the only factor. Midfielders are judged on their overall influence across the pitch, including passing, defending, and attacking contributions. Forwards gain points for goals and assists but are penalized for missed opportunities or inefficient play.
Scoring is also adjusted based on positional expectations. For instance, a missed big chance hurts a striker’s score more than it would a defender’s, since strikers are expected to convert more often.
There are also match bonuses:
