Umamusume Guide: How to Reroll your Account

Dominate the track from day one! Learn the fastest way to reroll for top-tier SSR Support Cards and essential characters in Umamusume.

Starting a new gacha game can feel like a race in itself, and in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, a powerful start is everything. Rerolling your account gives you the chance to secure the best possible foundation for training your horse girls, saving you time and resources down the line. The good news? The process is surprisingly fast and straightforward. Unlike many other games, your main goal isn't just pulling a rare character; it's about securing game-changing Support Cards. These cards are the secret sauce to building a championship-winning roster, and this guide will show you exactly how to get the best ones.

Why Should You Reroll in Umamusume?

This game ain’t just about pulling flashy horse girls and calling it a day. Nah, the real secret sauce is in the Support Cards. Think of them as the MVPs behind the scenes, giving massive stat boosts, unlocking busted skills, and making your training runs go from “barely passed” to “world record pace.”

Characters (called trainees) are important, sure, but you’ll get plenty of strong ones just from playing and using your free selectors. Support Cards? That’s where the real grind lives.Plus, thanks to the Guest Account system, you can reroll easily without needing burner emails or a PhD in Data Deletion. Delete, reset, pull again. It's gacha Groundhog Day, but at least you're not stuck listening to tutorials every time.

What Are the Best Reroll Targets?

Your number one priority is securing at least one, ideally two, top-tier SSR Support Cards. Characters are a secondary concern because the game provides you with free character selectors early on.

Top-Tier SSR Support Cards

Focus your free pulls on the standard Support Card Scout banner. You're looking for cards that provide massive bonuses to key stats like Speed, Stamina, and Wit. Here are the absolute best cards to aim for:

SSR Support CardPrimary StatWhy It's a Top Pick
Kitasan BlackSpeedUnquestionably one of the best cards in the game. It provides a huge boost to Speed training, grants the powerful Professor of Curvature skill for cornering, and even helps with Power training.
Super CreekStaminaEssential for success in medium and long-distance races. This card is your go-to for building the Stamina needed to finish strong and avoid running out of steam.
Fine MotionWitA fantastic card for building the Wit stat, which influences skill activation and positioning. It synergizes well with Speed cards, creating a potent combination for any racer.

Best Starter Characters

Once you’ve got your Support Cards sorted, you’ll be given a free 3-star ticket and a selector voucher early on. That means you don’t need to worry about pulling specific characters right away, you’ll have solid control over who joins your team.

Here are some great starter picks for new players:

Oguri Cap: One of the most versatile characters in the game. She performs well on both dirt and turf, across a wide range of distances. This flexibility makes her a strong choice for early content and team building.

Maruzensky: A front-runner who shines in turf races. She has excellent acceleration and makes a strong lead character when trained properly.

Taiki Shuttle: A great pick if you want a reliable dirt track runner. Specializing early on helps you cover more race types with ease.

At the end of the day, don’t feel pressured to go purely by the meta. Picking a character you like, whether for stats or personality (definitely this one) can make the game more enjoyable long-term. And with the tools the game gives you early on, you’ll have plenty of chances to expand your roster.

How to Reroll

Ready to start pulling? The process is the same for both PC and mobile. Just follow these steps for a clean and fast reroll.

  1. Start with a Guest Account: When you launch the game, proceed without linking your account. This is crucial for easy data deletion.
  2. Skip Everything: Power through the initial tutorial and skip all cutscenes. Your goal is to get to the Home Screen as quickly as possible.
  3. Claim Your Presents: On the Home Screen, navigate to the Gift Box on the lower right. Claim all the pre-registration and launch celebration rewards. This should give you around 7,000 Carats, enough for about 40 pulls. Do not use your selector vouchers yet!
  4. Pull on the Support Banner: Go to the Scout menu and find the standard Support Card Scout banner. Avoid the rate-up banners for now. Use all your Carats here.
  5. Check Your Results: Did you get Kitasan Black, Super Creek, or Fine Motion? If you're happy with your new Support Cards, proceed to the final step.
  6. Delete and Repeat: If you're not satisfied, return to the title screen. Click the button in the upper-right corner to open the menu and select Delete User Data. This will instantly wipe your guest account, allowing you to start over from Step 1.
  7. Link Your Account: Once you have a set of Support Cards you love, link your account through the in-game settings to save your progress permanently.

What to Do After a Successful Reroll

Congratulations on your amazing pulls! Now it's time to build your character roster. Here's the optimal way to use your free tickets.

  1. Use the Guaranteed Ticket First: Head to the Special Missions tab and claim your guaranteed 3-star Uma Musume ticket. Use this on its dedicated banner in the Scout menu. This pull is random, so using it first prevents you from picking a character with your selector that you might pull here by chance.
  2. Use Your Selector Voucher: Now, go to the Voucher Exchange and use your Head Start 3-Star Voucher. This is where you can select a specific character. Oguri Cap is the meta choice, but honestly, picking your favorite character ("waifu") is a perfectly valid strategy for long-term enjoyment.

Should You Even Bother Rerolling?

Let’s be honest. Rerolling sounds like a smart move. You get free pulls, chase top-tier cards, and start the game with a strong setup. But before jumping in, it’s worth asking yourself if it’s actually necessary.

The best thing to do is try the game first. Play through the tutorial, go through a few training runs, and see if the gameplay clicks with you. If you enjoy it and want to start with better tools, that’s the time to come back and reroll. The truth is, rerolling can get repetitive fast. Skipping cutscenes and pulling over and over might get tiring before the fun even starts. And you don’t need a perfect roll to enjoy the game. Uma Musume is generous with rewards, and you’ll naturally build up a strong team as you play.

In the end, rerolling is a nice option but never a requirement. Whether you start with a stacked lineup or just go with your first team, the real goal is to have fun and raise horse girls you actually like.
