The Forge Arena is a competitive blockchain-based first-person shooter (FPS) game that caters to both casual and competitive gamers. It features two primary game modes: Hybrid Competitive (5v5) and Team Deathmatch (8v8), each offering a unique and thrilling battle experience. The game is designed with an Esports framework in mind, aiming to provide a controlled combat environment that is both fun and intense.

Game Modes

Players can expect fast-paced action with shorter match durations. The Forge Arena challenges players with a steep learning curve, intricate hitboxes, and innovative gameplay features that distinguish it from other FPS games.

Hybrid Competitive Mode 

This mode combines elements of capture the point and search & destroy, alternating between rounds in a 5v5 setup. It offers a fresh take on the FPS genre, providing a unique experience with two distinct objectives.

• Capture the Point: In this dynamic mode, teams compete to secure a control point. As time ticks away, the capture rate accelerates, adding pressure to seize the point swiftly. A round concludes when one team successfully captures the point or eliminates the opposition. Following each round, teams switch roles based on their performance, with the victors assuming the offensive stance and the defeated taking on defense in the subsequent segment.

• Search & Destroy: Teams are tasked with either planting or defusing a bomb at designated sites. The offensive side's goal is to covertly plant the explosive at a chosen location, while the defenders are charged with safeguarding these critical areas. Should the bomb be planted, the defensive team must quickly defuse it within a set timeframe to claim victory.

Maps for Hybrid Competitive Mode

1. Origins is crafted to complement the hybrid mode, featuring a two-part map that transitions from a forested area with an abandoned laboratory to a concealed modern lab nestled within mountainous terrain.
2. Exodus is an Egyptian-inspired map favored by many, divided into two sections: one for capturing the tomb of an ancient pharaoh and the other for the strategic placement or prevention of explosives in the crypts of long-passed rulers.

Deathmatch Mode

This mode is a high-energy, 8v8 team deathmatch set on expansive maps that encourage a variety of combat styles. Players can enjoy the thrill of battle and hone their skills with the game's arsenal, all within a more casual setting where the first team to reach 100 eliminations emerges victorious.

1. Hangar offers a futuristic battlefield within a vast structure, providing diverse combat scenarios from close-quarters to long-range engagements, set against a backdrop of scenic lakes and mountains.
2. Island is a deserted locale with a rich history of various cultures, now abandoned and serving as a battleground that merges different architectural styles into one distinctive map.

Skins and NFTs

All digital assets in The Forge Arena are Skins 2.0 or NFTs. These can be acquired through in-game purchases or as rewards. The skins are categorized by rarity levels from Common to Legendary and are assigned unique float values, affecting their in-game appearance and collector value.

Esports - Utility Tokens

Players with an Ascendance Badge can earn $SPARKS tokens by staking their badge and gaining access to the $1,000,000 Ascendance Series Tournaments.

Badge holders also enjoy exclusive benefits, such as VIP access at events and priority for future drops. The competitive mode of Forge Arena is tailored for Esports enthusiasts. The developers have focused on creating an immersive environment that tests the skills of players, pushing them to excel in the competitive gaming arena.

The Forge Arena introduces utility tokens instead of governance tokens to enhance the gaming experience. Players can earn tokens like $SPARKS and $SCRAP through gameplay, which is used for purchasing weapon cases and accessing in-game features. These tokens are integral to the game's ecosystem and can be traded on exchanges.

How to Play The Forge Arena?

At the moment, the game requires a Gen-Zero or Ascendance NFT to play by downloading the launcher found here. However, there will be an open beta later on and the game is expected to have a free-to-play option on release.
