The town grows into a gathering point for quests, stories, and odd characters, while dungeons twist under Umbra’s influence so no two dives feel the same. Your day-to-day loop is simple: venture out, fight back the dark, then come home to a settlement that remembers who you are.</p><h2 data-start="239" data-end="263">Gameplay and Features</h2><p data-start="265" data-end="813">The Beacon plays like a traditional action roguelite where every dungeon run feels a little different. You enter with a basic weapon loadout, then build your strength on the fly by picking up temporary upgrades, items, and ability modifiers as you clear rooms. Enemy types, combat pacing, and room layouts change run to run, so success comes from learning patterns, dodging well, and knowing when to push versus when to fall back and reset your rhythm. The Ronin integration introduces new event-based NFT distribution and wallet support</p><h2>Latest Game Updates (2025)</h2><p data-start="4275" data-end="4611">Early in 2025, The Beacon kicked off a new phase by listing on Steam and Epic and running a <strong data-start="4367" data-end="4386">Writ of Passage</strong> staking window that wrapped on February 20. The team flagged a new client rollout after the staking period, with additional quests and rewards to pull players back into a refreshed loop.&nbsp;</p><p data-start="4275" data-end="4611">A notable development during this period was the introduction of <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://gam3s.gg/chains/ronin/"><strong data-start="732" data-end="757">Ronin </strong></a><strong data-start="732" data-end="757">Network support</strong>. The team hosted a Ronin-based playtest where players could connect a Ronin Wallet to join dungeon runs and earn on-chain cosmetic rewards tied to the event. This marked the beginning of Beacon’s integration with Ronin’s broader game ecosystem, offering easier onboarding and new ways to hold or trade collectibles across supported marketplaces.</p><p data-start="4613" data-end="4964">In September, The Beacon launched on the Epic Games Store as a <strong data-start="4681" data-end="4702">free Early Access</strong> title.
