Overview

Somnis: Rumble Rush is a competitive RTS game developed by Overtake, a platform dedicated to the integration of Web3 technology in gaming. Somnis invites players into a world where strategy, skill, and quick thinking are key. Somnis: Rumble Rush is designed to take you on a journey filled with variety with its blend of real-time strategy (RTS), tower defense, card games, and tactical combat. The gameplay would remind players of classics in such a genre such as Clash Royale.

Gameplay and Features

The gameplay in Somnis: Rumble Rush is divided into two primary modes: PvE (Player vs Environment) and PvP (Player vs Player), each offering unique challenges and rewards.

PvE Mode

In the PvE mode, players engage in battles against AI-controlled enemies to gather essential resources like Gold, Card Pieces, and Nova. These resources are crucial for upgrading characters and enhancing skills, allowing players to strengthen their overall deck. The PvE mode features various levels and challenges, each with unique enemies and rewards.

As players progress, the difficulty increases, providing greater challenges and better rewards. This mode is an excellent starting point for new players to get accustomed to the game mechanics and build a solid foundation for their deck. It also serves as a strategic playground where players can test out new strategies and card combinations without the pressure of real-time competition.

PvP Mode

The PvP mode is where the heart of Somnis: Rumble Rush’s competitive spirit lies. In this mode, players face off against each other in real-time battles to prove their superiority. Players are matched against opponents of similar skill levels, and the objective is to destroy the opponent’s towers while defending their own. The player who destroys more towers within the time limit wins the match.

Players will be ranked based on the flags they earn in competitive matches, with winning battles earning flags that determine leaderboard positions. PvP requires quick thinking, precise timing, and strategic planning. Players must make real-time decisions to counter their opponent’s moves and exploit weaknesses, making it the ultimate test of skills and strategy in Somnis: Rumble Rush.

To succeed in Somnis: Rumble Rush, it’s crucial to build a balanced deck that includes a mix of offensive and defensive cards. As you progress, you’ll unlock detailed stories and abilities for Character and Skills cards, allowing you to refine your strategies. Experimenting with different setups in PvE mode will help you find the most effective combinations before testing them out in the high-stakes PvP battles.

NFTs and Blockchain

The game leverages Immutable’s zkEVM powered by Polygon to create a secure and efficient environment for transactions involving its NFTs. These NFTs, which include exclusive in-game items and passes, are a key part of the game, allowing players to enhance their overall experience. During the closed beta test, the value of these NFTs was clearly demonstrated, as participants earned rewards that exceeded the cost of their CBT passes

Somnis recently completed its successful closed beta test. If you're eager to try the game, you're in luck, as the open beta is expected to launch in early August.
