Overview

Portal Fantasy is a quest builder and creature-capturing RPG. It has been 1000 years since the War of the Goddesses - Ravenna is dead, and the Pyli Kingdom has become prosperous once again. Or so it seems. As an novice at the prestigious Porble Academy, life takes an unexpected twist when you arrive late in Valeria, the capital. Assigned trivial tasks by an unassuming assistant, little do you know that this journey will take you into something more sinister. Mysterious organizations, corrupted Porbles, and an ancient adversary await. Across Pyli Kingdom's diverse realms, you'll uncover a darker history than legends tell.

Heroes and Architects

Portal Fantasy offers two playable characters: Heroes and Architects. Heroes are adventurers who navigate worlds, accomplish tasks, capture Porbles, and engage them in battles while advancing their abilities. Conversely, Architects are world-builders who craft unique maps using the integrated map-editor, providing new realms for Heroes to uncover.

As a Hero, you will traverse enchanting landscapes, crack complex puzzles, complete captivating quests, and confront foes. You will also interact with, battle, and capture Porbles, and power them up to establish an unrivaled team to overwhelm your adversaries. Hero Mana, represented by a yellow bar in your Hero Menu, serves as your stamina, allowing you to enter a Portal, Capture Porbles, and accrue ORB rewards. This stamina recharges fully daily at 12am UTC. Hero Essence, represented by a green bar, is another form of stamina used to enter Architect-created Portals and earn ORB rewards. This additional resource motivates user interaction with Architects' creations and also recharges daily at the same time.

As an Architect, your role involves generating content for Heroes' exploration. Using the Creator's Compass, an intuitive in-game map editor, you will create unique maps using our tilesets. This role is geared toward passive gameplay, crafting new realms for Heroes to uncover. As you progress, you'll unlock new tilesets to construct grander and more complex maps. You'll eventually design puzzles, quests, custom dialogues, and even your own tiles, mirroring the Portal Fantasy team's process. You earn ORB rewards when Heroes spend Essence to explore your maps, capture Porbles on your territory, and trade these Porbles on the marketplace.

Architects level up as Heroes interact with your creations, including maps and quests, and battle and capture Porbles that spawn on your realms. Guided quests will aid new Architects in understanding the map creation system, providing XP rewards even without creating highly popular maps. Leveling up grants access to additional map tiles and a larger canvas for map creation, enabling you to construct grander maps and spawn stronger, rarer Porbles.

Porbles

Porbles constitute the creature population within the Portal Fantasy realm, appearing as various species ranging from minute creatures darting through forests, majestic beings gliding above mountain peaks, to formidable creatures dwelling in severe, fire-ravaged landscapes. Heroes have the ability to capture, engage in battles with, and train these Porbles. Each synchronized Porble represents a unique collectible item under your ownership, tradeable and transferable across different wallets.

Porbles can be located moving through Wilderness underbrush, appearing within Architect maps, during special encounters, and within particular events. Your interactions with Porbles will be documented within your personalized, sleek Porble Index. Defeating Porbles isn't necessary for them to appear within your index; however, capturing them is essential for complete registration. Once all Porbles are captured, a hidden surprise awaits you.

Porble battles can be initiated in several ways within the PvE Campaign. Direct confrontations with Baddies, visible creatures with multiple Porbles, initiate battles, as does coming across a rogue Porble while traversing grassy or vegetated areas. These lone Porbles attack without prior visibility.

A Porble battle allows a team of up to three Companion Porbles. Porbles enter battles in a designated order, with only one Porble attacking at a time. The selection of Porbles influences the execution of Passive Abilities. Examples of these support passives include double-attacks every five attacks, lightning-energized attacks, poison damage, and starting shields. Assembling Porbles with particular support bonuses can create powerful teams, or even all-damage, heavy hitter teams.

Porble Fusion, the sole method of enhancing a synced Porble's Innate Talent (IT), involves selecting a Prime Porble and Assist Porbles to fuse into the Prime Porble. This process increases the Fusion Points of the Prime Porble, which in turn augments the IT. Assist Porbles used in fusion are burned and the action is irreversible.
