Overview

Outlanders Survive is an open-world MMORPG where players must battle monsters, gather resources, and claim territory in a post-apocalyptic landscape to survive. Blending traditional MMORPG features like PvE, PvP, and a player-driven economy, players can trade, sell, and buy items to improve their gear and progress. Starting with basic equipment, players must complete quests, fight enemies, and explore the vast world to build their strength. What makes Outlanders Survive unique is its integration with the Nakamoto Games ecosystem, offering additional earning opportunities through a dual-token system, allowing players to join special events and prize pools, enriching the play-to-earn experience.

Outlanders takes place in a fractured world where civilization has collapsed due to unknown catastrophic events. Nature has reclaimed much of the land, but it's not the peaceful wilderness you'd expect. Horrific monsters roam freely, and only the strongest can survive. As one of the survivors, you must stake your claim in this harsh environment, battling monsters and other players for supremacy.

Gameplay and Features

Outlanders Survive combines the familiar mechanics of MMORPGs with some interesting survival elements. Players start with basic gear, just simple clothing and weapons with no real value. To improve, you’ll need to explore, fight monsters, or even battle other players. Every upgrade, whether it’s stronger weapons or better gear, comes from defeating enemies or completing challenges, making progress feel earned. You can also choose how you want to play, whether you focus on exploration, combat, or crafting is entirely up to you.

Character customization is a big part of the game, giving you options to change your avatar’s hairstyle, skin color, height, and more. As you progress, your character evolves with better gear, which not only makes them look cooler but also gives you an edge in combat. The world is open, so you’re free to roam and even acquire mounts or pets that drop from monsters, helping with faster travel or boosting your stats in battle. These can be sold or traded within the game’s closed economy, where everything runs on LAND tokens, the currency you’ll use to buy, sell, or even set up your own in-game shop.

The game also offers plenty of opportunities for collaboration through guilds, where you can team up with others for mutual benefit. Guilds can go to war, fight for territory, and claim resources, with successful battles bringing rewards to everyone involved. 

PvP Mode

The game offers a balanced PvP system where combat is only allowed with mutual consent between players, ensuring fair play. However, players who break this rule by attacking others without consent earn negative karma, which comes with consequences. High negative karma makes players a target for city guards, and they risk penalties like jail time and increased chances of losing valuable items upon defeat, creating a system that discourages unethical behavior while adding a layer of risk to player interactions.

NFTs and Blockchain

In Outlanders Survive, every item earned from monster drops or events can be converted into NFTs, which can be traded, sold, or collected. The rarity of these NFTs increases based on the difficulty of the monster, event, or the player's PvP performance.

The game operates on a dual-token system with LAND tokens serving as the primary currency for trading and buying items, earned by defeating monsters or completing quests. NAKA tokens, from Nakamoto Games, give players access to special events, prize pools, and additional earning opportunities. Holding NAKA in your Web3 wallet allows you to start earning immediately, while LAND tokens are used to form and govern guilds within the Outlanders metaverse, as well as trade assets in an open marketplace.

How to Get Started

The game is currently in its beta phase and fully playable. It’s free-to-play, so if you’re interested in testing it out, just head over to the Outlanders website and sign up. There's no need to buy any blockchain tokens to get started. However, if you want to try the play-to-earn system, you'll need $LAND tokens to purchase tickets for entry into the play-to-earn features.
