Overview

OpenSeason is a third-person battle royale game developed by FU Studios, where players compete on the Island of JPEG. Taking control of characters like Milady, Remilio, and Bored Ape, the goal is to outlast opponents in action-packed matches across a variety of locations. It’s designed to provide competitive gameplay without being overly complicated, catering to both casual players and those seeking more intense match-ups.

Game Modes

Battle Royale: Players are dropped into a large map where they must search for weapons and gear while avoiding or taking down opponents. The match ends when only one player or team remains, offering a mix of strategy and quick reflexes.

Death Match: In this mode, players respawn repeatedly in a much smaller arena, making for fast-paced and action-heavy matches. There are two variations:

  • Normal Death Match: Players can jump in anytime and practice on bots while competing for beans.
  • Ranked Death Match: Only real players here, and you’ll need at least 6 participants to start. Rankings are tracked, and those who perform well climb the leaderboard.

Beans and $FU Money

Throughout gameplay, players collect Beans, which can be exchanged for $FU Money at the end of each Epoch (a 1-week cycle). This system rewards players based on their performance and engagement. Game Pass Pro holders have the advantage of earning 100% of the beans they collect, while standard Game Pass holders earn 80%, with the remainder benefiting the NFT holders who provided the access.

NFTs and Blockchain

OpenSeason currently offers the Game Pass Pro NFT, which grants players exclusive utilities beyond basic game access. Holders can unlock special in-game items, earn higher rewards, and generate Access Codes to allow others to join the game. Additionally, Game Pass Pro holders enjoy long-term progression, earning a greater share of $FU Money and early access to future FU Studios productions. They also gain access to unique features like claimable items and custom skins, making the pass valuable by enhancing both gameplay and rewards over time.
