Yuga Labs, in collaboration with Makemepulse, is excited to introduce the first season of its HV-MTL (Heavy Metal) Forge Web3 game. As part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club universe, this innovative crafting game allows HV-MTL NFT holders to construct their own virtual forges and compete in social voting contests.

Players are tasked with designing and maintaining a forge that keeps their HV character content and productive. Once the virtual space and its items are ready, they can be submitted for community voting. As per Spencer Tucker, Yuga Labs' Chief Gaming Officer, the game comprises six seasons and two modes.

The first three seasons focus on the meta layer, while a dungeon crawler stage, the second mode, is planned for launch in August. By August, players should be able to use this energy to navigate a rogue-like dungeon crawler game with the characters they’ve created.

The fate of your forge lies in the hands of the Forge community. Stay ahead of trends to secure the most votes and rewards for your HV and forge, but be prepared for community-driven vibe shifts.

Crafting your forge constitutes the metagame. The process is about curating a virtual space by generating and placing tiles and objects, which can be repositioned as you see fit. At the end of the third season, the rogue-like dungeon crawler game, The Rift, will debut.

Microtransaction shops provide the option to purchase objects or premium tiles, but it's not mandatory. Players can acquire multiple HVs and invite them to their forge, which can then be shared on social media.

Each season lasts three weeks, bringing new challenges and gameplay modes. Players can vote once a day on a forge, using the energy they gain to enhance their forge or affect others. Traits can be used to search for different forges, with stats on the number of blocks and creations available. End-of-day rewards for top-ranked players include items to manage mood and energy production rate, which contribute to the seasonal leaderboard.

While the complete Forge experience is token-gated, a limited version is available for non-HV-MTL NFT holders. However, they will not have access to all the game elements or the ability to utilize their builds in future activations.

Each HV class comes with a unique game environment and a starting pack based on their class for HV holders. Additionally, owners of multiple HVs will receive daily bonuses when their HVs visit other forges.
