Finally, he took on the role of Vice President of Business at Jam City before co-founding Xterio, a web3-focused game publisher that aims to bridge the gap between traditional gaming and digital ownership.

We've raised over $70 million in capital, with significant investments from partners like Binance.

Xterio's mission is ambitious, tackling two significant challenges plaguing the free-to-play gaming industry. The first challenge revolves around the increasing production costs of games, requiring more time and resources to become profitable. To address these issues, Xterio focuses on digital ownership of in-game assets to enhance player retention and monetization. They also explore innovative advertising channels enabled by web3 technology to reduce user acquisition costs. Beyond this, they're developing tech tools for publishing partners, bridging web2 and web3 with identity profiles and ensuring asset permanence. Xterio introduces the Exter token to foster deep interoperability and a robust financial ecosystem.

Overworld: A Novel Web3 RPG Experience

Among Xterio's projects, Overworld stands out as a captivating web3-integrated RPG set in a Western anime fantasy universe. Players have the freedom to create characters, train skills, explore dungeons, and engage in multiplayer experiences. What sets Overworld apart is its reliance on finite resources, where players must take responsibility for replenishing them, adding a layer of realism to the game. Additionally, the game features a unique battle system that combines real-time and turn-based mechanics, creating an engaging combat experience.

AI Companion and "Palio"

Jeremy Horn's passion for AI shines through Xterio's "Palio" project. This AI agent, or companion, aims to provide a human touch to AI interactions. Users can create their AI companions, which learn from their interactions and provide more conversational and personalized responses. Beyond conversations, these companions will handle functional tasks, from booking flights to delivering news updates. We're working on something we call "Palio." Our approach to AI is problem-focused. AI is undoubtedly transforming our lives, but the way language models currently function lacks a human touch. When you ask a question to chat GPT or LAMA, you receive a very neutral, almost clinical response. There's no personality, tone, or context in their answers. This is where empathy in AI becomes a vital issue.

Future Plans and Importance of Timing

He acknowledges the challenges of web3 gaming, where user bases are relatively small compared to traditional gaming.
