Envar Studios has revealed Witchspire at the Future Games Show during Gamescom, showcasing a magical survival-adventure set to launch in Early Access on PC in 2026.
A new survival-adventure game titled Witchspire was unveiled during the Future Games Show at Gamescom. Envar Studios, a team with experience on major titles such as League of Legends and Overwatch 2, presented a hand-drawn reveal trailer that highlighted both mystical crafting and survival gameplay.
Witchspire is a survival-crafting adventure video game with a distinctly magical focus. Set in a beautifully illustrated world, the game allows players to customize their character, choose a Coven that influences stats and appearance, and explore diverse biomes while traveling on broomsticks. Along the journey, players can befriend creatures, cast spells, and ultimately activate the Witchspire to find their way home. The title is planned to enter Early Access on PC in 2026 and represents Envar Studios’ first original IP.
At the Future Games Show, Envar Studios showcased Witchspire with a trailer that opened on tranquil scenes of pastoral life before shifting to more intense encounters. The footage moved from cozy cottages filled with witches and wizards to battles against shadowy enemies that corrupted once-friendly creatures. This balance of serene world-building and darker undertones gave the reveal a striking contrast that captured attention.
Players begin by designing their character and selecting a Coven, which impacts both stats and clothing style. The hand-drawn environments offer opportunities for building sanctuaries while also presenting threats that test survival skills. Exploration plays a major role, as players can fly across varied landscapes on broomsticks, gather resources, tame or confront magical beings, and refine their spellcasting abilities. The blend of creative freedom and survival mechanics suggests a layered experience that can appeal to fans of both cozy and challenging gameplay.
