As its beta phase concludes, game developer Zillion Whales has revealed key details about the upcoming launch of the web3 real-time strategy game Wild Forest, set to be released across PC and mobile platforms. The global launch, scheduled for early July, will also mark the start of season 2 of the game's play-to-airdrop campaign, offering 2.5 times the rewards of the first season.

Wild Forest Launches Forge Feature 

What is Wild Forest?

Wild Forest is a free-to-play, web3-enabled, real-time strategy game reminiscent of classics like Warcraft and Starcraft. Built on the Ronin blockchain, players start with a small base, expand their territory, gather resources, and build troops to defeat opponents. 

Zillion Whales Launches Forge Feature 

To prepare for this transition, Zillion Whales has introduced a new feature called Forge, which allows players to convert their old beta assets into a resource known as Essence. This resource can then be used to acquire new items in the game's Forge Shop, which will become available shortly after the official game launch.

Since its soft launch in November 2023, Wild Forest has been progressively expanding its features. The game released its first NFTs on the Ronin blockchain in February 2024. However, as the beta phase ends, some of these game assets will become obsolete.

Beta Units Explained

The Forge feature addresses this issue by allowing players to convert items like Beta Units, broken NFTs, and both off-chain and on-chain Release Units into Essence. The amount of Essence received depends on the player's current rank and level, with conversion ratios as follows:

• Common Release Unit: 100 Essence
• Uncommon Release Unit: 260 Essence
• Rare Release Unit: 640 Essence
• Epic Release Unit: 2,220 Essence
• Legendary Release Unit: 10,080 Essence

 Beta Units Conversion

Players will have a four-week window following the official launch of Wild Forest to convert their beta items. After this period, Release Units will be burned, and Beta Units will become non-usable. The game is set to be released across PC and mobile platforms.

Season 2 Play-To-Airdrop Event

Season 2 of the Play-To-Airdrop campaign will run in conjunction with the global launch. Players can earn rewards by completing in-game missions and climbing the leaderboard. Additionally, staking Lord NFTs for 90 days will provide another opportunity to access the WF token airdrop.
