Wemade has officially integrated its web3 payment solution, Wemix Pay, into the online role-playing game Mir4. This move further strengthens the game's position within the web3 gaming space by offering players a new method of completing in-game transactions using blockchain-based assets. Mir4 continues to be one of Wemade’s most prominent titles, despite increasing competition from other games such as Night Crows.

Through the addition of Wemix Pay, players in Mir4 can now purchase in-game items using WEMIX tokens. While traditional fiat payments are not yet available, they are reportedly in development. The introduction of this payment method aligns with Wemade's broader strategy to enhance the utility of its digital assets within its ecosystem. In addition to the purchase functionality, users who make qualifying transactions through Wemix Pay receive Mileage points. These points can later be converted into PLAY tokens, which serve as the main token on Wemix Play, the platform supporting the web3 functions of the game.
The launch of Wemix Pay comes shortly after significant movement in the value of the WEMIX token. The token experienced a 60% drop in price after five major South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges announced that they would be delisting it as of June 2nd. Since that announcement, the token has shown minor signs of recovery, though the long-term impact on the in-game economy remains to be seen.
Wemade Integrates Wemix Pay into Mir4
Mir4 was originally launched in 2021 and is developed using Unreal Engine. It is recognized as one of the earliest games to successfully combine traditional MMORPG gameplay with web3 features. Available on iOS, Android, and Steam, the game supports both mobile and PC users, maintaining a current active player base of approximately 190,000. The ability to trade web3 assets such as DRACO and other items through its marketplace further illustrates the game’s role in pushing blockchain-based gaming mechanics into the mainstream.
With the integration of Wemix Pay, Wemade continues to expand its web3 offerings within Mir4. The update supports the game’s blockchain-driven economy and provides players with additional options for in-game spending and earning. As web3 technologies become more embedded in online gaming, developments such as these reflect an ongoing shift in how digital economies are designed and experienced.
