Newzoo has released its monthly analysis of the top 20 PC and console games for May 2025, based on both revenue and monthly active users (MAU). The report covers six major markets: the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France. This latest update highlights a dynamic month with several new entries and notable shifts across various platforms.

New Titles Drive Revenue Growth in May 2025

According to Newzoo’s revenue data for May, three new titles entered the rankings. Elden Ring Nightreign debuted in fourth place, with estimated sales surpassing 3.5 million copies across the tracked markets. DOOM: The Dark Ages followed in ninth place, and FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time entered at twentieth. These launches contributed to an overall active month in terms of consumer spending across PC and console platforms.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which had dropped out of the top tier in April, returned to the top ten as revenue increased in May. Meanwhile, Destiny 2 experienced the most substantial rise in the rankings, climbing thirty positions to reach eleventh place. This surge was largely attributed to the opening of pre-orders for its upcoming expansion, The Edge of Fate and Renegades.
