The developers at Falco, the studio behind The Harvest, have announced that they are working on a big game update, which is now targeted for release in Q3 of 2023. While there will be a transition period for some of the team members, several new members have already been onboarded. In the meantime, players can expect smaller playtest sessions and tournaments throughout Q2, with rewards for early birds.
One of the most exciting changes coming to The Harvest is the return of the MOBA win condition. The game's win condition will be changed back to having the most Essence harvested when the match timer expires, which was a consistent piece of feedback from players. This change will bring back the third-person hero shooter MOBA gameplay that made The Harvest stand out in the first place.
The development team is also focusing on optimizing the game to improve performance on every machine. All 3D models of the game will be optimized, resulting in more exciting battles in O’Ree-Jin. Players will no longer need a high-end GPU to run the game, but it will still look awesome regardless.
Keep an eye on The Harvest's Twitter and Discord channels for more information on how to join the smaller playtest sessions and tournaments throughout Q2. With so many exciting changes in the works, fans of The Harvest have a lot to look forward to in the coming months.
