In a recent announcement, Studio 369 has unveiled the details of MetalCore's highly anticipated closed beta, titled "Call to Arms," set to start on February 26th. As one of the standout blockchain games of 2024, MetalCore promises an immersive gaming experience with a focus on open-world exploration, PvE missions, and exciting PvP encounters.

This invite-only playtest marks a significant milestone for MetalCore, allowing early players to experience the updated game build, a step forward from the last playtest held in July 2023. Scheduled to begin at 3 pm PST on February 26th, players will have a 24-hour window to try out the game, with exciting new rewards, in-game quests, and the freedom to roam the expansive open world.

By owning a MetalCore Genesis Infantry NFT – a collection of 10,000 NFTs, all consisting of various traits and levels of rarity – players can get access to more exclusive gameplay and benefits. Additionally, Genesis Infantry NFTs bought and held before 29th February will also be playable in the next closed playtest.

Studio 369 CEO, Matt Candler, expressed the significance of this closed beta playtest, stating: “This closed beta playtest signifies an important development milestone for Studio 369 – it is really the first opportunity for us to introduce players to the MetalCore economy and deep and extensive mechanics we have been building.”

Looking ahead Studio 369's business development manager, Jerry Singer, revealed that the game's web3 elements would include features such as Baronies, Territory Wars, and new NFT types like Land and Factories, transforming the in-game economy.

Working with Immutable X

Collaborating closely with Immutable X (IMX), MetalCore is set to deploy on Immutable’s recently launched zkEVM mainnet, marking it as one of the first titles within this ecosystem. The open beta launch is anticipated in the spring of 2024, providing players with an extended opportunity to explore the evolving world of MetalCore.

To participate in the "Call to Arms" closed beta, players must hold a MetalCore Epic Games Store key. Interested individuals can secure their entry by signing up on the waitlist or by holding prior EGS keys. For additional details on joining, visit the MetalCore website.

As the countdown to the closed beta begins, players can anticipate a unique blend of blockchain gaming, innovative NFT integration, and an evolving open-world experience in MetalCore.
