Stardust, a prominent web3 gaming infrastructure provider, has recently announced a collaboration with Sui blockchain through Mysten Labs, aiming to streamline the onboarding process for game developers and enhance Sui's web3 gaming ecosystem.
The integration between Stardust and Sui focuses on simplifying the onboarding process for game developers. Leveraging Stardust's infrastructure tools, developers can seamlessly launch their projects directly on the Sui platform, removing technical barriers and allowing for a more straightforward creation of gaming experiences.
Stardust's goal to be a driving force in the metaverse is apparent, with the company providing game developers with a simplified API for effortless blockchain integration. Their easy back-end custodial wallet solution aims to create a seamless ecosystem for game publishers to build and scale metaverse-ready games. Additionally, Stardust's user acquisition product leverages blockchain data for optimal return on ad spend.
Canaan Linder, CEO at Stardust, expressed enthusiasm about empowering the developer network, stating, "Game developers can focus less on complicated technical aspects and go back to creating games that people love. This is a significant step forward not just for Stardust developers but also for the wider adoption and growth of web3 gaming."
Stardust, known for partnerships with game developers like Midnight Society and Habbo, plans to embed Sui into their Wallets-as-a-Service (WaaS) platform and User Acquisition tools. This integration aims to provide enhanced user experiences, contributing to the growth of both Stardust and the broader web3 gaming community.
Sui is a prominent Layer 1 blockchain and smart contract platform, designed to make digital asset ownership fast, private, secure, and accessible to everyone. With its object-centric model based on the Move programming language, Sui enables parallel execution, and sub-second finality, and supports rich on-chain assets.
The decision to integrate with the Sui blockchain is based on Sui's scalability and efficiency in handling a large volume of transactions with minimal gas fees. With Sui recently surpassing the $500 million Total Value Locked (TVL) milestone, it continues to establish itself as a leading blockchain for game development, as stated by Mysten Labs.
Evan Cheng, CEO of Mysten Labs, highlighted the partnership's significance, stating, "Our collaboration with Stardust will open doors for both popular and newly created games to integrate into Sui’s ecosystem, making the process easier for developers and providing gamers with a more comprehensive user experience."
This collaboration signifies a notable milestone for the web3 gaming ecosystem as it reduces entry barriers for developers and improves the overall user experience on the Sui network by introducing a variety of new games and capabilities.
