Star Atlas begins its summer event on July 28 with new gameplay updates, a three-part Town Hall series, and key economic developments. The campaign runs through August 27.
Star Atlas has announced the launch of Star Atlas Summer, a month-long series of in-game events, updates, and community initiatives. Running from July 28 through August 27, the event will include three Town Hall meetings aligned with major gameplay developments. The campaign opens with Community Week, which aims to spotlight the player base and foster community engagement across the Star Atlas ecosystem.
Star Atlas' Big Summer Updates
The first stage of the Star Atlas Summer campaign will begin with Community Week, taking place from July 28 to August 1. Although a full schedule has not been released, the event is positioned as a recognition of the game's community. Players can expect this period to feature developer communications, interactive sessions, and fan-led activities.
Community Week serves as the introductory segment to a broader calendar of events and announcements throughout the following month. A series of three Town Hall meetings is scheduled as part of the event, with each session linked to a significant release. The first Town Hall will take place on July 30 at 11 AM PT. During this meeting, Star Atlas will premiere a new cinematic trailer revealing the largest update to the game’s arena shooter mode to date.
The trailer will be three minutes long and is expected to highlight enhancements to the game’s Unreal Engine 5-based combat system. The second and third Town Halls are scheduled for August 13 and August 27, respectively. While the specific content of these later meetings has not yet been disclosed, they are expected to continue the pattern of major announcements tied to gameplay and system updates.
Star Atlas' Big Summer Updates
In advance of the Star Atlas Summer event, the development team published the State of the Economy Report for the second quarter of 2025. The report provides data on player behavior, token use, and macro-level trends within the in-game economy.
The report indicates that daily ATLAS emissions increased by 41 percent, reaching 11.4 million tokens per day. However, only 5 percent of these emissions were traded on decentralized exchanges, suggesting that most players chose to retain or reinvest their tokens. Additionally, only 15 percent of emission redeemers sold their tokens on the day they were claimed, pointing to a longer-term holding strategy among the player base.

The report also shows a shift in wealth distribution, with over 70 percent of total in-game wealth now held by citizens and residents for the first time. These groups also recorded gains in population and asset ownership. In contrast, non-resident players experienced declines in both categories, contributing to an overall population drop of 0.22 percent and a 2.98 percent decline in total ecosystem wealth.
The ATLAS token locker reached a record 2.147 billion tokens locked during the quarter. Most of this increase came from large single-player deposits, occurring despite a relatively low token price. Meanwhile, Star Atlas’ GDP fell to $870,876, a 71 percent decrease from the previous quarter. Per capita GDP also declined, though late-quarter activity showed early signs of recovery. Among the game’s factions, ONI led in total GDP, while USTUR posted the highest GDP per capita.

Another key development last quarter was the launch of Holosim, the free-to-play version of SAGE Starbased. Despite launching just before the end of the quarter, Holosim managed to reach 36 percent of SAGE’s player base and contributed 12 percent of total platform transactions. Holosim does not offer token-based rewards but showed steady growth in user engagement, suggesting it may serve as an effective onboarding platform for new players and a potential driver of long-term activity within the Star Atlas ecosystem.

The third edition of the Council of Peace Assembly, or COPA 2025, is also on the calendar. Registration closes on July 17, and accepted participants will be announced on July 21. COPA is a structured showcase event for DACs, or Decentralized Autonomous Corporations, that operate within the Star Atlas universe.
Organizations will be evaluated across four categories: story and structure, development and tools, future strategy, and community growth. Top-performing DACs will receive Tier 1, 2, or 3 properties located at their faction’s Central Space Station. The event takes place during a period of growth and change across the platform and is seen as a key moment for the Star Atlas community to present their contributions and future goals.
Star Atlas' Big Summer Updates
With the Star Atlas Summer campaign set to begin on July 28, the weeks ahead are expected to feature multiple announcements, new content releases, and events aimed at strengthening community involvement. The first Town Hall on July 30 will mark the initial highlight of the campaign, bringing with it new gameplay footage and setting the tone for future updates throughout August.
