Mon Studio has officially launched PvP Leagues Era 3 in their monster-catching MMORPG, Spellborne. This marks the third competitive period of Season 2: Risk and Reward, which originally began in November 2024. Following the conclusion of Era 2 on January 31st, the new era started immediately and will run until February 14th at 2:30 PM GMT. Players can compete in strategic, turn-based battles for a chance to climb the ELO-based leaderboard, earning valuable in-game rewards and points for the game’s play-to-airdrop system.

PvP Leagues Era 3

PvP matches in Spellborne follow a 1v1 format, where players engage in Pokémon-style battles, selecting strategic moves each turn to outmaneuver their opponents. Those who reach specific ELO milestones will unlock rewards, while players ranking higher on the leaderboard will accumulate more gameplay points. These points contribute to Spellborne’s airdrop system, allowing players to earn allocations of the upcoming $BORNE token.

The game features three categories of airdrop points: Gameplay Rewards, Store Rewards, and Creator Rewards. Competing in PvP Leagues, completing daily quests, and capturing monsters all contribute to Gameplay Rewards. Store Rewards are earned by purchasing season passes and chests, while Creator Rewards can be obtained by posting content about the game on Twitter/X with the hashtag #SpellborneCreate.

Alongside the launch of PvP Leagues Era 3, the developers have introduced several updates to the game. The level cap has been increased to 37, and new content includes four additional mutations and over 40 new moves. Furthermore, Spellborne is now available on mobile for Android and iOS, although access is currently limited to holders of Apartment and Monster tokens. Players new to the game can participate for free by accessing it through their web browser using a Google or Apple account.

Beacon Orbs Event Offers New Rewards

In addition to the new PvP League era, Spellborne has introduced the Beacon Orbs event in collaboration with Skillcap Studio, the developers of the action roguelite RPG, The Beacon. This crossover event offers players the opportunity to collect Blue Orbs by battling wild monsters, with a 50% drop rate for regular players and a 75% drop rate for those holding Beacon Writ Of Passage NFTs.

Blue Orbs are used to play a 2048-style minigame within Spellborne. As players progress through the game, they earn Golden Orbs, which can only be claimed once the minigame is completed or when no more moves are available. These Golden Orbs can then be spent in the After Market to purchase various in-game items. The event will be available until February 12th at 3 PM GMT, giving players a limited time to collect orbs and acquire new rewards.

To join the Beacon Orbs event, players can access it through the in-game Events screen, which can be opened using the calendar icon on the right side of the interface or by pressing the Q key. The event provides an additional way for players to engage with the game and earn valuable items while exploring new mechanics introduced through the collaboration with The Beacon.
