Shrapnel, the blockchain-based first-person shooter (FPS) developed by Neon Machine, is launching its Shrappy Holidays 2024 event, an early access event filled with festive-themed rewards and engaging missions. Running from November 18th to November 25th, the event is set within Shrapnel’s “Sacrifice Zone,” which has been redecorated with wintery elements and holiday lighting. Shrappy Holidays 2024 represents both a celebration of Shrapnel’s community and a milestone for the development team, marking a year of achievements and updates. This limited-time event will be accessible only to players who own an Extraction Pack, which is available through the game’s official marketplace starting at $9.99 for the Basic Pack. These packs provide early access to playtests, along with a playable MEF Operator and a Gear Pack.

The event marks a final opportunity for players to experience the game’s Solo Extraction mode before major 2025 updates are introduced. The event introduces a holiday-themed environment within the Sacrifice Zone, adding festive textures, snow-covered landscapes, and atmospheric fog. Players can also experiment with new weapons, including the Type 42 Revolver and the CL7 MK II Assault Rifle.

In response to community demand, Shrapnel has also added initial controller support to enhance gameplay accessibility. Shrappy Holidays 2024 provides a range of rewards that players can earn through both daily and event missions. Completing missions will grant in-game assets, cosmetics, and even comic book NFTs. Additionally, special prizes are available through raffles, which can be entered using METAL currency.

Players can participate in raffles for a chance to win physical items such as a PS5 DualShock controller, a GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, Shrapnel-branded hoodies, and physical editions of Volume 2 comic books. To enter, players can use METAL, the in-game currency, to purchase raffle tickets. Winners will be notified through their account on Shrapnel’s official site and will need to respond by December 9 to claim their prizes.

Completing the corresponding missions will allow these NFT holders to earn special schematics and potentially both volumes of Shrapnel comic books.
