Shatterpoint Season 1 begins September 9, allowing players to earn Sparks and future $POINT tokens through competitive leaderboards, PvP gameplay, Charged Crystals, and NFT cosmetics.
Shatterpoint Season 1 is scheduled to launch on September 9, giving players the opportunity to participate in a play to airdrop system designed around skill-based gameplay and blockchain integration. Through this season, participants can earn Sparks, which will later convert into the upcoming $POINT token, by competing on leaderboards, engaging in PvP matches, and making use of NFT-based items to enhance their rewards.
Shatterpoint S1 Offers Big Rewards
Shatterpoint is a free-to-play mobile game that blends RPG and MOBA elements. Players collect Shards, complete objectives, and compete in three-versus-three battles as customizable heroes. The game emphasizes competitive play and integrates crypto reward mechanics into its progression system.
The title has been in development since 2021 and entered a co-development stage with Big Time Studios and Open Loot. In April 2025, the team launched an Early Access Airdrop Campaign, followed by the introduction of the Play to Airdrop Campaign in June. By August 2025, the Shatterpoint whitepaper was released, outlining the earning structures, token utility, and plans for the first season. The announcement of the September 9 launch marks the transition from preparation to active competition.

Season 1 introduces several mechanics aimed at creating a structured competition. A leaderboard system has been added, allowing players to earn Sparks by completing quests and climbing the rankings. The top 1000 players at the end of the season will receive Sparks based on their performance, and these Sparks will be converted into allocations of the $POINT token once the token generation event (TGE) takes place.
In addition to leaderboards, Sparks can be farmed through PvP matches when using a Charged Crystal. Crystals can be crafted with a Crystal Forge, which is sold as an NFT on the Open Loot marketplace, and must be infused with Quantum Dust, the game’s premium currency, to be used. A charged crystal enables players to earn Sparks for a set number of matches, depending on the type of charge chosen.

NFT cosmetics also play a role in the earning system. Equipping cosmetic items such as hats or armor pieces not only changes the character’s appearance but also increases the amount of Sparks earned in matches. These cosmetics are crafted using a Cosmetic Printer, which is also structured as an NFT-based item, and may unlock additional gameplay opportunities in future updates, such as access to special events or boss encounters.
Game balancing adjustments have also been made for Season 1, including updates to champion abilities and overall gameplay systems. While details of the changes were not disclosed, the updates are intended to improve the balance and smoothness of the competitive experience.
Players can approach Shatterpoint Season 1 in different ways depending on whether they prefer to play for free or invest in NFTs. Free-to-play participants can earn leaderboard points by completing weekly in-game tasks such as crafting objectives, PvP challenges, and monster hunts. The progress of these tasks is tracked through a player dashboard. At the end of the season, the top 1000 players will receive Sparks based on their rank, which later convert into $POINT tokens.
Those who want to expand their earning opportunities can use NFT-based items. Charged Crystals allow players to collect Sparks from every PvP victory, but require continuous crafting and infusing with Quantum Dust. The length of play enabled by each charge depends on the chosen infusion level, with options ranging from a small set of matches to extended play sessions. Cosmetic NFTs, which can be purchased or crafted, provide additional bonuses to Spark earnings and are expected to serve a role in unlocking exclusive content in future seasons.

Shatterpoint Season 1 will go live on September 9, 2025, though the exact time of release has not yet been confirmed. The game will be available as a free-to-play title on both Android and iOS through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. With the launch of its first season, Shatterpoint introduces a competitive web3 experience that combines traditional mobile gameplay with blockchain-based incentives, offering players multiple ways to engage with its ecosystem and prepare for the arrival of the $POINT token.
