What is Ronin Forge?

Ronin Forge is a gateway for game studios to integrate and scale their games using the Ronin blockchain. It provides access to infrastructure and tools designed specifically for gaming, helping developers leverage the Ronin network’s community and ecosystem. By aligning incentives between Sky Mavis (the creator of Ronin), game studios, and players, Ronin Forge aims to accelerate innovation in web3 gaming.

Introducing the New Games

Aleksander Leonard Larsen, COO and co-founder of Sky Mavis, emphasized the program’s goal in a statement: “Ronin Forge is the next step in further opening up Ronin for builders. Offering grants and access to the Sky Mavis ecosystem will serve as an experimental ground for developing the next generation of web3 games. We aim to encourage innovation and build network effects, inviting like-minded studios to join on our path towards scaling the Ronin Network.”

Ronin Forge Early Access Program

1. Pixel Heroes Adventure

Pixel Heroes Adventure is a mobile MMORPG designed for Android and iOS. Featuring pixelated graphics, the game allows players to engage in boss battles, collect loot, and trade in-game items. The development team behind Pixel Heroes Adventure is keen on pioneering the web3 MMORPG genre. As a teaser, players can already access Tap Adventure, a Telegram mini-game offering early rewards and a glimpse into the broader game ecosystem.

2. Cambria

Inspired by the classic MMORPG Runescape, Cambria offers two distinct games: Gold Rush and Dual Arena. Dual Arena is a PvP (player-versus-player) game where participants duel for on-chain rewards. Gold Rush, the larger MMORPG, introduces a complex in-game economy with elements such as trading, politics, and exploration. Cambria’s goal is to provide a high-stakes gaming environment where both risks and rewards are amplified.

3. Kuroro Beasts

The Kuroro Beasts ecosystem is divided into three games, each offering unique gameplay. Kuroro Ranch, a free-to-play virtual pet simulation, allows players to care for digital pets through Telegram, while Kuroro Beast Brawl focuses on PvP arena battles reminiscent of Axie Infinity. Kuroro Wilds rounds out the ecosystem as a Pokémon-inspired RPG with real-time combat and collectible elements. With its large user base and an upcoming alpha release, Kuroro Beasts is poised to be a major player in web3 gaming.

Infomon blends elements of a blockchain-based Pokémon-style game with the goal of enhancing crypto content distribution. In Infomon, players collect AI-powered companions that gather valuable content for rewards. The game acts like a personalized social media algorithm, making it easier for users to access high-quality crypto-related information in a fun, engaging way. By combining entertainment with practical utility, Infomon seeks to enhance how crypto knowledge is shared in the web3 landscape.

Players drop into a competitive PvP map to battle others, all while utilizing web3 mechanics like $XTREME staking and daily rewards. The game is already live and has plans for a “Play-to-Airdrop” campaign. Xtremeverse also features a prediction market where players can wager on live matches, adding an extra layer of interaction to the gaming experience.

Party Icons is a mobile battle royale shooter set in the fast-paced “Partyverse” ecosystem. Players engage in PvP battles across dynamic maps, collecting tradable treasures while competing for victory. The development team aims to create over 40 more party games, integrating user-generated content (UGC) and fostering a vibrant, interactive digital entertainment hub. Beyond gaming, the Partyverse is envisioned as a space for social events, including concerts and art exhibits.

Final Thoughts

The addition of these seven games underscores the Ronin Forge initiative's goal of bringing innovative gaming experiences to the Ronin blockchain. Each title introduces unique gameplay mechanics, ranging from MMORPGs and battle royales to pet simulations and strategy games. By offering both traditional and web3 elements such as in-game economies, on-chain rewards, and NFT collectibles, these games highlight the potential for blockchain technology in gaming.

Ronin Forge continues to be a platform that aligns game developers with the infrastructure they need to succeed, while providing players with new opportunities for engagement and ownership within their favorite games. As these games launch or migrate to Ronin, the community can expect a wave of fresh content that further enhances the growing web3 gaming ecosystem. More information is available here.
