In a strategic move, Gadget-Bot, the development studio behind the popular Kaidro franchise, has announced that its upcoming game, Kaidro, will launch exclusively on Sky Mavis' Ronin Network.
Kaidro, originally recognized for its 2020 webtoon series, has transformed into a multi-dimensional experience, featuring an animation, TV series, and now, a multiplayer action RPG. The decision to collaborate with Ronin aligns with Gadget-Bot's vision for the future of Kaidro.
Peggy Chung, co-founder of Gadget-Bot, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating: "In our journey to bring Kaidro to life, we've found incredible partners who align with our vision for the future. As we unveil the next phase of Kaidro, we're excited to announce our collaboration with Ronin, which will serve as a primary stage for our upcoming launches."
Gadget-Bot, founded by Peggy Chung and Robert Simons, boasts an impressive portfolio, contributing to blockbuster projects such as Alita: Battle Angel, Jurassic World, Transformers, Call of Duty, and Apex Legends. Kaidro represents their latest endeavor, offering a transmedia experience that includes a webcomic, animation, TV series, and a story-driven multiplayer action RPG.
The game's narrative unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world where a mech-wielding faction clashes with powerful magic users. Kaidro introduces a unique gaming experience with three teams of three players each, engaging in various missions and battles against enemies. The game seamlessly combines player versus player (PvP), player versus environment (PvE), and a quest system.
Sky Mavis CEO and co-founder, Trung Nguyen, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating: "We are excited to announce our partnership with Gadget-Bot. The Kaidro franchise, spanning webcomics, games, and animations, is prime for web3 integration, and we see great potential in collaborating to bring uniquely crafted IP to Ronin and beyond."
Coinciding with this announcement, Kaidro has released its latest trailer, created in collaboration with Tim Hedrick, known for his work on Avatar: The Last Airbender, Avatar: Legend of Korra, and Voltron: Legendary Defender. The animated TV series also features contributions from the Odesza duo, renowned for their Game of Thrones music.
