PlayEmber and Pixelmon introduced Monster Tycoon, a web3 mobile game available on the Play Store and App Store. Built on Immutable zkEVM, Monster Tycoon is a free-to-play, monster-collecting dungeon crawler where players can earn $IMX tokens and NFTs.
The first season of Monster Tycoon kicked off on September 27th and will last three weeks. During this period, players compete for a share of over 10,000 $IMX tokens and can also win Pixelmon and Emby NFTs. Emby NFT holders gain additional perks, such as extra daily Shards and higher rewards for completing in-game achievements.
Monster Tycoon Gameplay
The game offers players the chance to explore various levels and collect up to 45 Pixelmon creatures. By completing quests and achieving in-game tasks—such as winning duels or capturing creatures—players earn Shards, which can be exchanged for keys to unlock prize chests. These chests contain tickets that enter players into daily, weekly, and seasonal raffles for chances to win $IMX tokens and NFTs.
Shards come in three rarities—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—leading to keys of corresponding rarities that unlock better rewards. In addition to earning Shards through gameplay, players can claim Shards daily or purchase Shard Packs using USDC. Packs are available on both the Ethereum and Polygon networks, with prices set at $1.99 USDC for a Standard Pack and $3.99 USDC for a Premium Pack.
Monster Tycoon Character Art
The team recently introduced the Emby Creator Hub - designed to support both new and experienced content creators by providing educational resources and opportunities for growth. This gamified platform offers creator programs where participants can win valuable prizes by completing activities related to content creation.
The Creator Hub is divided into two main programs: the Emby Creator October Program, which requires users to hold an Emby NFT, and the Creator Initiate Program, open to those with the "creator initiate" Discord role, including those who do not yet own an Emby NFT. To apply for the non-holder program, applicants need at least 50 followers on Twitter/X unless they have a referral code.
Welcome to the Creator Program
Prizes for top-performing creators include opportunities such as a sponsorship trip to the YGG Play Summit in Manila and the chance to win software, hardware, and other undisclosed rewards. Top 5 creators in the non-holder program will receive an Emby NFT, which grants them access to the main Emby Creator October Program in the future.
Participants compete by completing 2-3 new content-related activities each week. These tasks typically involve creating and submitting Twitter content, with leaderboard points awarded based on impressions and quality. Video content may receive additional recognition, and creators can access tools such as The Embifier, which provides features to enhance 2D content creation, including banners, profile pictures, and wallpapers.
Ember Points and Prizes
PlayEmber’s dual launch of the Emby Creator Hub and Monster Tycoon showcases the studio’s commitment to empowering both content creators and players in the web3 gaming space. By offering tools to enhance content creation and integrating play-to-earn mechanisms, PlayEmber provides opportunities to earn rewards such as $IMX tokens, NFTs, and exclusive prizes. Whether through the educational resources in the Emby Creator Hub or the monster-collecting adventures in Monster Tycoon, PlayEmber continues to push forward the boundaries of web3 gaming and content creation.
