Off The Grid’s GUNZ Wallet system has officially entered Phase 1 of its OpenSea rollout, allowing July 2024 Pro Subscribers to export and trade in-game NFTs for the first time. This milestone marks the debut of large-scale, tradable shooter assets on a mainstream marketplace.

Off The Grid NFTs go Live on Opensea
A major innovation in Off The Grid is its integration of the GUNZ Wallet system, an optional on-chain layer that enables players to own, trade, and flex digital items across supported marketplaces, now including OpenSea.
The rollout has begun with Phase 1, targeting a select group of players:
Players who meet the criteria will be able to equip these items in-game, show them off on Teardrop Island, and most importantly, retain true digital ownership of the assets they acquire or earn.

GUNZ emphasized that this system isn’t just about skins, it’s about laying the groundwork for a fully compliant, player-controlled economy. The team has built a custom ecosystem from the ground up, avoiding shortcuts like grey-market trading or backend workarounds. Every NFT is tied to real ownership, with value and functionality tied to gameplay. Due to the complexity of cross-platform and marketplace interactions, access is being phased in strategically. Gunzilla stated this is essential to ensure stability and scalability across systems.
Gunzilla acknowledged that KYC may be a barrier for some, especially in regions with tighter compliance or lack of access. However, they clarified this is necessary for long-term security and regulatory alignment , and is not permanent.
The rollout marks an early step in Off The Grid’s broader vision of integrating digital ownership into a multiplayer shooter experience. While access is currently limited to July 2024 Pro Subscribers and Mainnet PC players, the system introduces a new framework for trading in-game items through regulated channels. Gunzilla’s approach focuses on compliance, functionality, and long-term scalability. The integration of NFTs via the GUNZ Wallet may offer players new ways to manage, trade, and personalize their in-game assets, with the potential for wider accessibility in future phases.
