Mighty Bear Games has announced a $4 million funding round to expand its GOAT Gaming platform, an AI-powered ecosystem where autonomous agents play Telegram games on behalf of users. The investment, backed by TON Ventures, Karatage, Amber, and Bitscale, brings the company’s total funding to $15 million. This funding aims to accelerate the platform’s growth by supporting the development of AI infrastructure, enhancing game offerings, and integrating autonomous agents into the gaming experience.
Mighty Bear Games Secures $4 Million
GOAT Gaming is designed as a competitive and casual gaming platform exclusively for Telegram, where players can deploy AI agents to compete, earn rewards, and win cash prizes. Unlike traditional multiplayer games where AI bots are often considered an unfair advantage, GOAT Gaming ensures fairness by limiting AI participation to games without human opponents. In an interview with Dean Takahashi, CEO Simon Davis emphasized that the platform's primary goal is to provide a new way for users to engage with games, allowing AI to handle gameplay while players oversee strategy and progression.
Central to GOAT Gaming’s ecosystem is the introduction of AlphaGOATs, AI-driven agents that automate gameplay and generate rewards for players. These agents are powered by the AlphaAI toolkit, which enables them to participate in matches, unlock upgrades, and continuously compete in various games. The company plans to launch hundreds of new games in 2025, with AlphaGOATs playing a key role in shaping the player experience.
AlphaGOATs are distinct from traditional gaming bots as they function within Telegram’s MiniApps framework. This integration allows them to act as competitive agents, engaging in tournaments, prediction markets, and other in-game activities to maximize rewards for their owners. Unlike most AI advancements in the gaming industry, which are often limited to developers and investors, AlphaGOATs aim to provide a more accessible entry point for everyday gamers. The initiative allows players to participate in the AI-driven gaming space without requiring advanced technical skills.
AI Gaming Revolution
Mighty Bear Games has undergone a strategic transformation from a traditional game development studio into a company focused on AI and gaming infrastructure. While the studio was previously known for developing mobile games such as Butter Royale, Mighty Action Heroes, and Disney Melee Mania, its recent focus has shifted toward providing AI-driven tools and infrastructure for third-party developers. This shift allows external teams to create, monetize, and scale Telegram-based games using Mighty Bear Games’ proprietary technology.
The company has also expanded its operations beyond Singapore to include teams in Vietnam and Europe. This move is part of a broader effort to access global talent and reduce operational costs while ensuring long-term sustainability. Over the past year, Mighty Bear Games has collaborated with developers to create 37 mini-games on Fortnite, highlighting its role in supporting AI-assisted game development rather than solely producing games in-house.
Mighty Action Heroes
The rise of AI in gaming has sparked discussions about the evolving role of players and developers. During a recent industry event, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang predicted that AI agents would eventually take over repetitive gaming tasks, allowing players to focus on strategy and management. Davis echoed this sentiment, stating that AI will significantly impact user-generated content by lowering the barriers to game creation. Instead of requiring extensive coding or design skills, future game developers may be able to create top-performing experiences through AI-powered tools.
Despite the growing adoption of AI in gaming, industry opinions remain divided. A recent GDC 2025 survey showed an increase in the number of game developers who view AI as a negative force in the industry, rising from 18% to 30% over the past year. However, Davis pointed out that the majority—70%—still see AI as either beneficial or neutral. He also noted that Mighty Bear Games has not reduced its workforce due to AI integration but instead uses AI to increase efficiency and maintain content quality with the same team size.
AlphaGOATs
GOAT Gaming currently offers seven games on its platform, with new titles being introduced every few weeks. The company’s focus remains on competitive player-versus-player (PvP) games rather than role-playing games (RPGs) with AI-driven non-player characters. Some of its current offerings include a cat-themed PvP Solitaire game where players compete for prizes within a 180-second round. The games on the platform are designed to be lightweight and mobile-friendly, making them accessible to a broad audience.
Mighty Bear Games envisions a future where AI agents assist players in more than just gaming. These AI-driven tools can handle various in-game tasks, from resource collection to social media interactions. Players can train and customize their AlphaGOATs, deciding how they allocate resources and optimize their AI agents for competition. This level of customization allows for both highly detailed strategies, similar to games like EVE Online, and more casual gameplay experiences suitable for mobile users.
100K Active Users and Over 1M On-Chain Transactions
Mighty Bear Games’ transition into AI-driven gaming and infrastructure development marks a significant shift in the industry. With the recent $4 million funding round, the company is well-positioned to expand GOAT Gaming, introduce new AI-driven experiences, and support third-party developers. By integrating AI agents like AlphaGOATs into the gaming ecosystem, the company aims to make competitive gaming more accessible and engaging while redefining how players interact with games. As the gaming industry continues to evolve, the role of AI in shaping future experiences will remain a key area of innovation and discussion.
