GAMEE, a web3 gaming company known for its previous title Arc8, has launched a new trading card game called Moon Cards. The game is available on Telegram and introduces a concept where gameplay mechanics are influenced by real-time data from the memecoin market. Players collect, merge, and compete using digital cards that reflect the current performance and social activity of various cryptocurrencies.
Founded in 2015 and acquired by Animoca Brands in 2020, GAMEE has played a significant role in expanding access to web3 gaming. The studio previously developed Arc8, a mobile game platform that uses blockchain features such as tokens and NFTs to offer rewards to players. Arc8 has contributed to the onboarding of millions of users into the blockchain space.
In addition to game development, GAMEE has facilitated the creation of more than four million wallets within the TON blockchain ecosystem through initiatives like WatBird and various collaborations. The company has also worked with over 40 web3 communities, including The Sandbox, Cool Cats, and Notcoin, to create integrated gaming experiences that reach a wide audience.
New Memecoin Trading Card Game on Telegram
Moon Cards integrates live market data into the core gameplay experience. Each card in the game corresponds to a real memecoin from blockchains such as Solana, Ethereum, and TON. These cards do not maintain fixed attributes; instead, their value and power change daily in response to shifts in token prices and online engagement metrics. This dynamic approach requires players to remain aware of market trends in order to build effective decks and make strategic decisions during gameplay.
At launch, the game includes 150 different cards. Each card’s Star Value and Card Score fluctuate based on real-world crypto conditions. This system introduces an added layer of complexity, as players must respond not only to the in-game environment but also to external market forces. The design encourages players to follow trends in memecoin communities and adapt their strategies accordingly.
About Moon Cards
Moon Cards became available on April 9, 2025, through a phased rollout. The first phase, titled Moonrise, is currently live and allows players to collect card packs and merge them to create new cards. Future updates will expand the game with additional modes and features. The next planned phase is Meme Wars, a player-versus-environment mode where users will face off against AI-controlled opponents influenced by memecoin data.
Following this, the Degen Showdown phase will introduce player-versus-player tournaments, where matches are shaped by ongoing cryptocurrency trends. A later phase, known as the Lunar Marketplace, will allow users to trade Moon Cards as non-fungible tokens, creating a functioning in-game economy. These upcoming updates aim to enhance both the strategic depth and community interaction of the game.
Currently, Moon Cards is available through invite-only early access. Around 230,000 users who joined the pre-sale event have received invite codes to share with others. New players interested in participating can request an invite through the official Moon Cards community chat on Telegram. Once inside, users can begin collecting and merging cards in preparation for upcoming gameplay phases that will introduce battles and trading.
GAMEE has positioned Moon Cards as a game that is accessible to a wide audience. While the game is rooted in web3 principles, players are not required to purchase cryptocurrency in order to participate. This approach aligns with GAMEE’s broader goal of making blockchain-based games more approachable to casual users.
The Lunar Marketplace
GAMEE is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, a company with a broad portfolio of web3 projects. Animoca Brands has invested in over 540 blockchain-related ventures and supports a range of initiatives focused on digital ownership, decentralized platforms, and gaming. Its projects include The Sandbox, Open Campus, and Moca Network. The company is also involved in a stablecoin initiative in partnership with Standard Chartered and other financial institutions.
The launch of Moon Cards represents GAMEE’s continued efforts to develop games that combine blockchain technology with accessible and engaging gameplay. By integrating real-world memecoin trends into its design, Moon Cards offers a different approach to digital card games within the web3 ecosystem. Players can follow the game’s development and request access through Telegram by visiting @mooncardsgame or joining the community at @mooncardschat.
