MapleStory Universe Reveals 2nd Pioneer Test with Big Rewards
The first Pioneer Test, held from July 24 for a period of 10 days, involved over 1,000 testers and demonstrated notable success with strong engagement and transaction volume. During this test, 92% of participants were actively engaged throughout the testing period, achieving an impressive 82% retention rate. Players accumulated more than 45,000 hours of gameplay in total, averaging over six hours per user each day. The MapleStory Universe ecosystem further showcased its functionality by handling 195,046 transactions, despite the absence of a premium cash shop, highlighting the robustness and potential of its blockchain-powered in-game economy.
Sunyoung Hwang, Executive Director of NEXPACE, shared enthusiasm for the upcoming testing phase, commenting, “The results of our first Pioneer Test exceeded our expectations, and we are excited to scale up for this second Pioneer Test. As we introduce blockchain technology to the 21-year-old MapleStory IP, our goal is to further ensure ecosystem stability and enhance user experience as we prepare for the full launch.”
The second Pioneer Test is expected to offer a larger scope and enhanced features, building on feedback from the initial test and aiming to refine key aspects of the MapleStory Universe experience. This initiative aligns with NEXPACE’s focus on leveraging blockchain to create an immersive, player-centric ecosystem.
