The blockchain gaming project L3E7 has officially launched its Open Beta Season 0, now available to players on Android, Windows, and Mac platforms. As the first 3D location-based service (LBS) blockchain game, L3E7 allows users to explore a cyberpunk-styled Earth built with real-world mapping data. This beta phase marks a key step toward a full release, with gameplay systems open for testing and public feedback. Season 0 began on July 30 and is expected to run for approximately one month.

L3E7: Exploring a 3D Cyberpunk Earth

L3E7 introduces a virtual Earth reconstructed in 3D using real-world geographic data. This stylized digital environment allows players to interact with recognizable city layouts and buildings. The visual setting adopts a cyberpunk aesthetic, blending real-world exploration with immersive metaverse gameplay.

As players navigate this environment, they can engage in strategic activities that center around capturing and defending real-life landmarks rendered in the game. Season 0 serves primarily as a gameplay and performance testing phase. The development team is focused on identifying technical issues, tracking user retention, and collecting community feedback to refine game systems.

Players can access all core features of the game, including exploration and purchasing mechanics, but the production of Stardust (the in-game utility currency) will remain paused for the duration of the beta. According to the developers, this decision is intended to preserve gameplay balance and allow for adjustments prior to the launch of Season 1.

Purchase Policy and Credit Bonus

Players can join the Open Beta through various platforms. On PC, both Windows and Mac versions are available through HyperPlay. Mac users must have devices equipped with an M1 chip or newer and ensure that Rosetta is installed. Android users can download the game directly from the official link provided on the L3E7 website.

The iOS version is currently under review and has not yet been released on the App Store. To engage with the game’s purchasing and rewards systems, users must link a digital wallet to their account. Only one wallet can be linked per account, and this choice cannot be changed after initial setup. While all in-game purchases during Season 0 are non-refundable, the development team has confirmed that players will receive a 120 percent credit bonus for every dollar spent during the beta.

This bonus will carry over into Season 1 and will also apply to purchases made during a previous test in January 2025. Once Season 1 begins, these credits can be used toward in-game content and progression. Supported payment networks include Mantle and Arbitrum, with purchases available in MNT or ETH.

System Requirements and Gameplay

To run the game effectively, players must meet certain system requirements. The minimum specifications include an Intel Core i3 8300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 1660 Super graphics card. For a smoother experience, the recommended setup consists of at least an Intel Core i5 8500 processor, 16GB of RAM, and an RTX 2070 graphics card.

The game supports 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and 11 and Mac devices with M1 chips or newer. At the center of L3E7’s gameplay is a mode called City Retake Operation. Players form teams using characters known as Sympathizers, each equipped with unique abilities and attributes.

The objective is to attack and defend specific buildings across the 3D map, earning an Efficiency score based on performance. These scores are used to determine placements on two leaderboards: the Efficiency Leaderboard and the Honor Coin Leaderboard. High-ranking players can earn better in-game rewards and unlock city-specific bonuses and cosmetic titles.

NFT Integration and Player Ownership

Players enhance their in-game capabilities by raising their Guardian Level, which determines the level cap for their Sympathizers. Experience points are earned by completing various game activities, including bounty hunts, daily tasks, challenges, mystery events, and building captures.

As players progress, they gain access to additional items such as summon tickets and in-game currencies through the Medals system. Character abilities can also be upgraded using elemental cores, chips, and duplicate fragments to unlock passive bonuses. L3E7 incorporates blockchain-based ownership through two official NFT collections.

The first, L3E7 Worlds, includes 600 NFTs that function as early access passes, offering users priority access to events, gameplay testing, and potential future revenue-sharing opportunities. The second collection, L3E7 Guardians, consists of character avatars used directly within the game. These NFTs provide gameplay advantages and allow players to generate Stardust once activated. Both types of NFTs are tradable, upgradable, and come with voting rights.

Token Structure and In-Game Economy

The game operates on a three-token model. The primary token, $L3E7, will be used for most in-game transactions and premium content access. Stardust serves as the utility currency for actions and upgrades but is temporarily inactive during Season 0. Once the full game launches, players with Guardian NFTs will be able to earn and use Stardust. The third token, Nexalium, is distributed as a reward for community participation, especially through Discord events. Nexalium can be exchanged for access to exclusive content and whitelist opportunities.

Season 0 is a foundational phase intended to test the game at scale and gather player feedback. According to the development team, all progress from Season 0 will be reset at its conclusion. This means that Season 1 will launch with a clean slate, introducing persistent progression, active balancing, and continuous content updates. The team views Season 0 as a necessary step toward a more refined and stable game environment.
