Immutable has officially launched its Perpetual Rewards System, nearly one year after initiating its Main Quest campaign. This new program aims to incentivize ongoing participation across its web3 gaming ecosystem by allowing users to convert accumulated off-chain gems into weekly opportunities for rewards.

Under the new system, users collect gems through various actions such as logging in daily, watching specific content, and engaging with games supported by Immutable. These gems serve as the currency to purchase a key, which is available once per week for 500 gems. Each key has a designated rarity, ranging from common to legendary, which is determined by the user's level of activity within the Immutable ecosystem over the previous week.

Participation and Reward Distribution

To take part in the Perpetual Rewards System, users must verify their Immutable Passport wallet using both a phone number and a linked social media account. They must also complete at least one in-game quest by downloading and playing a supported title. Additional quests and continued interaction with the ecosystem allow users to earn more gems, which can be used to participate in future reward cycles.

Keys can be purchased between Thursday and Monday each week. Once acquired, users must burn their keys on Wednesday to be eligible for a random reward, which may include IMX tokens, additional gems, a key rarity upgrade, or automatic entry into the next cycle. These rewards must be claimed within 30 days or they will expire. Immutable calculates and distributes the weekly rewards every Tuesday.

First Reward Drop Sees Large Payouts

In the first week of the program, Immutable allocated $235,000 worth of IMX tokens to the reward pool. The top-performing wallet received a payout of 20,955 IMX tokens, equivalent to approximately $8,467 at the time of distribution. Other highly active wallets received rewards estimated between $750 and $950 in IMX tokens.

The reward pool for the current cycle contains 218,923 IMX tokens, valued at roughly $90,000. Approximately 7,000 wallets have already registered for participation, reflecting growing interest in the system.
