Heroes of Mavia, the Ethereum-based mobile RTS game, has been making waves in the blockchain gaming space. The team behind the game has not only successfully launched their $MAVIA token through an airdrop campaign but has now set their sights on implementing some major enhancements to the game, touching upon both the technological and community aspects.
The game hit over 1 million downloads across iOS and Android platforms since its launch on January 31st. This significant milestone underscores the game's commitment to pushing blockchain gaming into the mainstream.
Backed by prominent names such as Crypto.com and Binance Labs, Skrice Studios' Heroes of Mavia distinguishes itself by seamlessly blending construction, strategic battles, and blockchain-based trade, drawing inspiration from the popular combat game Clash of Clans.
Heroes of Mavia has chosen Base, the layer 2 network developed by Coinbase, as its preferred blockchain. This strategic move aims to capitalize on the advantages offered by Base, such as low gas fees and seamless integrations. The decision also opens up possibilities for Mavia to tap into the extensive user base of Coinbase, potentially reaching players less familiar with the web3 gaming scene.
With an impressive count of over 50,000 wallets benefiting from their airdrop, Heroes of Mavia has hit the ground running. The game's popularity continues to surge, boasting a daily active player base of over 300,000 across both iOS and Android devices. While the announcement is light on specific details, the move to Base promises exciting opportunities for Mavia players and the broader gaming community.
Adding to this momentum, Heroes of Mavia has officially launched their player DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). This initiative empowers $MAVIA token holders to actively participate in shaping the game's future through proposal submissions and voting.
Any holder with a minimum of 1 $MAVIA token can submit a pre-proposal on the Mavia Discord server. The proposal undergoes a rigorous process, including adherence to DAO guidelines, a seven-day open discussion among DAO members, and scrutiny by Mavia's development, marketing, and legal departments.
Once cleared, the proposal transforms into an official MIP (Mavia Improvement Proposal) and enters a 14-day voting phase. The first community proposal, MIP#100, is currently up for vote, utilizing a gas-free wallet signature for a seamless voting experience.
Proposals cover a wide array of aspects, from modifying game features and fund allocation to suggesting procedural changes and initiating partnerships or initiatives related to the DAO or the Mavia IP.
For those unfamiliar, Heroes of Mavia is a free-to-play, mobile, base-building RTS game running on the Ethereum blockchain. The gameplay involves constructing and upgrading bases, and engaging in battles with other players to earn the in-game currency, RUBY. The game features upgradeable NFTs, including Bases, Heroes, and Statues, each contributing uniquely to the player's strategy.
Gold and Oil resources, used for specific base upgrades, add an extra layer of strategy. Players can also engage in raids to steal these resources from other players. Notably, the game introduced rental mechanics from its inception, allowing base owners to generate passive income by renting out their bases.
Released in February 2024, Heroes of Mavia has quickly gained traction on both iOS and Android platforms. To stay updated or join the discussion, visit the official Heroes of Mavia website, follow them on Twitter, and join their Discord.
