Skrice Studios, the developers behind Heroes of Mavia, have launched the anticipated Web Ruby Marketplace, designed for trading in-game assets outside the game environment. This new browser-based platform, currently in a Community Stress Test phase, allows players to trade items using Ruby, with $MAVIA token integration expected later in 2024. The launch marks a significant milestone in the game’s ongoing development, with numerous updates and features planned for the rest of the year.
Heroes of Mavia Phase 2
Heroes of Mavia is a play-and-earn game that utilizes blockchain technology and NFTs. The game is set on the island of Mavia, where players aim to construct and develop their armies and engage in battles with other players using resources obtained by attacking other bases. The primary resources in the mobile game are Gold, Oil, and RUBY, Mavia's in-game cryptocurrency.
Similar to Clash of Clans, players in Mavia Island build and grow their bases, train armies, and battle other players. However, what sets Mavia Island apart is the ability to earn real cryptocurrency, specifically RUBY, by competing against other players all on the Ethereum blockchain.
To start earning Heroes of Mavia's RUBY, players must first build ground and air forces, which consist of vehicles, infantry, and air units. These forces can then be used to battle other players and protect their own base from attacks. Additionally, players should assemble a defensive army and upgrade their troops to increase their defense. This can be especially important when trying to protect valuable resources.
The Web Ruby Marketplace is an external platform where players can trade in-game assets using Ruby, a currency within Heroes of Mavia. It is an extension of the Ruby Marketplace previously launched inside the game, offering cross-platform support and allowing players to connect their external wallets to their game profiles. This feature enables seamless trading between in-game and browser-based environments.
Players can buy and sell various in-game assets, such as skins and decorations while tracking key economic statistics like top owners, total sales volume, and ownership distribution. The marketplace also provides users with a detailed portfolio overview, combining their Ruby balance with the value of owned items.
To use the platform, players must link their wallets to the game’s website. Currently, the marketplace is only compatible with Ruby for transactions, with $MAVIA token integration planned for November 2024. Once integrated, players will be able to trade using the $MAVIA governance token and exchange Ruby for $MAVIA.
1 Million Ruby Giveaway
To celebrate the launch of the Web Ruby Marketplace, Skrice Studios has initiated a 1 million Ruby giveaway. During the first 30 days after the September 16th launch, 100 daily transactions will be selected at random, awarding both the buyer and seller 150 Ruby each. By the end of the 30-day period, a further 100k Ruby will be distributed among 300 selected transactions. This event serves to incentivize early use of the marketplace while promoting trading activity.
Looking ahead, Heroes of Mavia has an ambitious roadmap for the remainder of 2024. In October, the game will introduce Mavia Land NFT integration and a new hero character, Warlord. This new hero will serve as a "powerful sidekick" to the existing character, Mira, and is expected to significantly impact gameplay, especially in Ranked and Ruby battles.
In November, the Web Ruby Marketplace will see the integration of the $MAVIA token. This update will also coincide with the launch of the Ruby Exchange, allowing players to trade Ruby for $MAVIA directly. Additionally, a new NFT mint is expected to refresh the in-game marketplace’s offerings. November will also feature the introduction of the Ice Bomb Trap, a strategic in-game defense that freezes enemy units, giving players an edge during raids.
December promises more updates, including the release of Headquarters 9 (HQ 9) and a new NFT Crafting feature. Skrice Studios has hinted that this crafting system will be a big innovation in the web3 gaming and NFT space. Additionally, the Web Marketplace will be enhanced with the Arbitrage Tool, which will help players find the best trading opportunities across the platform.
Headquarters 9 (HQ 9)
While details remain sparse, Skrice Studios has hinted at an exciting roadmap for Q1 and Q2 of 2025. This upcoming phase is expected to be packed with features for both players and traders, with the studio describing it as "one of the biggest rollouts yet." This forward-looking approach indicates a continued commitment to expanding the web3 elements of Heroes of Mavia while keeping its player base engaged with new content and trading opportunities.
The launch of the Web Ruby Marketplace marks a major development for Heroes of Mavia, allowing players to trade in-game assets through a browser interface. As the game continues to evolve, Skrice Studios has laid out a robust plan for future updates, including new heroes, NFT integrations, and marketplace enhancements.
