Gods Unchained has announced the launch of its second season of Formats, which commenced on November 4, 2024. This season introduces a range of community-driven game modes that enhance the gaming experience, encouraging players to develop strategies while earning through innovative NFT-based gameplay.
Gods Unchained is a web3 trading card game on Immutable that empowers players with true ownership of their in-game items. Combining the immutability of real, tangible cards with the convenience of digital collectibles, players can earn, trade, sell, and collect NFT cards to build strategic decks and compete in skill-based multiplayer battles. The game is led by Chris Clay, former Game Director of Magic The Gathering Arena, and is enjoyed daily by a loyal community of trading card enthusiasts and web3 users.
Gods Unchained Season 2 Brings Big Rewards
The Formats feature in Gods Unchained utilizes a rotational system that introduces different game modes, each with unique restrictions and challenges. These modes aim to provide fresh experiences for both seasoned players and newcomers, promoting innovative deck-building strategies while offering a break from traditional Ranked gameplay. The first mode of Season 2, called Pauper Mode, is designed to create a competitive yet accessible environment for players.
Formats Season 2
Season 2 also reintroduces popular game modes from the previous season, such as Flashback Genesis and Flashback Divine Order. These returning modes enable players to utilize cards from specific historical expansions, providing a nostalgic experience for veteran players. The Formats Season 2 game modes operate from Monday at 10:00 PM AEDT to Friday at 10:00 PM AEDT, reserving weekends for standard gameplay. This schedule allows players to engage in different Formats without conflicting with regular Ranked matches.
To participate, players need a Gods Unchained account and a sufficient card collection to build decks that comply with each mode’s requirements. Cards can be crafted, purchased from the marketplace, or earned through gameplay. Gods Unchained offers various methods for expanding card collections, including purchasing packs and trading cards in secondary markets. Each mode in Formats is crafted to challenge different aspects of deck-building and gameplay strategy. By participating, players can earn rewards and unlock rare in-game assets based on their performance and the specific reward structure of each mode.
