GOAT Gaming, a Telegram-based platform developed by Singapore's Mighty Bear Games, has achieved remarkable milestones since the launch of its second season on August 22nd, 2024. The platform now boasts over 250,000 users who have collectively generated more than 3.25 million on-chain transactions.
This rapid growth underscores the increasing popularity of the platform in the web3 gaming community. Three days before reaching the quarter-million user mark, Mighty Bear Games’ CEO Simon Davis reported that the platform had already crossed 2 million transactions. This sharp increase highlights the platform's accelerating momentum.

GOAT Gaming, initially known as MightyNet, is an advanced skill-based wagering platform designed for web3 gamers. It offers a wide variety of games, from mobile and browser-based titles to play-to-earn experiences on platforms like Fortnite and Telegram. Utilizing AI, the platform is built to facilitate rapid deployment of content and currently supports hundreds of game integrations, including both web2 and web3 games.
The platform also provides third-party developers access to its proprietary technology and advisory services, although the infrastructure still requires adjustments for seamless external collaboration.
100k Users and 1 Million On-Chain Transactions
A significant driver of Goat Gaming's recent growth is its "Road to $GOAT" campaign, an initiative offering $10,000 in rewards for completing various quests, such as friend referrals. Participants in this inaugural event can earn GOAT Points, which determine leaderboard rankings and a share in the $GOAT token supply. The campaign has successfully attracted early supporters, particularly those already engaged with Mighty Action Heroes, the only blockchain game currently available on the platform.
GOAT Gaming's concept revolves around offering a multitude of mini-games within a blockchain framework. The idea was inspired by the success of the 1v1 Showdown mode in Mighty Action Heroes, where players could win rewards by wagering small amounts of hard currency. This mode demonstrated a strong demand for prize-driven mini-games within the web3 space.
Simon Davis envisions GOAT Gaming as a web3 counterpart to platforms like Miniclip, featuring hundreds of micro-experiences. These games, built using WebGL and HTML5, are integrated into Telegram, a major platform for crypto gaming with a user base nearing a billion.

Telegram is emerging as a significant platform for web3 gaming, reminiscent of Facebook's gaming scene in 2008. The platform's large user base and ability to stream games directly into messaging apps like iMessage or WeChat offer developers a vast audience for simple, engaging games.
However, Davis has expressed caution regarding the accuracy of user metrics on Telegram, which can be skewed by bot activity. Despite these concerns, Telegram remains a promising venue for web3 games, particularly for casual mini-games that offer rewards and competitive experiences.
Telegram vs WeChat
One of the main challenges for Telegram-based games is the presence of bots, which can artificially inflate user numbers and potentially devalue in-game tokens. While this remains a concern, Davis believes that the real challenge lies in maintaining long-term player retention, especially once financial incentives are removed.
To sustain its growth, GOAT Gaming plans to diversify its game offerings and cater to a wide range of player preferences. Upcoming titles include Waifu Clash and various runner games, reflecting the platform’s intention to appeal to different gaming tastes.

GOAT Gaming is currently open to external developers, although full support for self-serve development is expected to take about a year. The platform’s success will depend on balancing the gaming experience with the interests of speculators, a complex issue that continues to challenge the broader web3 gaming industry.
GOAT Gaming's rapid ascent on Telegram underscores its potential to redefine web3 gaming accessibility, leveraging the platform's robust infrastructure and expansive user base. As the platform evolves, addressing current hurdles will be crucial in realizing Telegram's role as a catalyst for the broader adoption of blockchain gaming. More information is available here.
