Cutting-Edge Web3 Games

Led by Saga co-founder and CEO Rebecca Liao, Saga Origins is poised to curate a collection of cutting-edge web3 games with the aim of reaching a global audience. Liao emphasized the platform's support for developers, which goes beyond financial grants to include partnerships with influencers, sponsored user acquisition campaigns, community-building initiatives, and other forms of promotional support.

"At Saga, we're reshaping the dynamics of user acquisition in the gaming industry. Rather than burdening developers with the sole responsibility of attracting users, we're leveraging our platform to drive users towards these innovative web3 games," stated Liao.

During the event, attendees were treated to a sneak peek at some of the games currently in development on Saga, such as Rogue Nation and Another World. The platform boasts approximately 335 ongoing projects, with an estimated 80% dedicated to gaming.

Play-to-Airdrop Campaigns

In recent times, Saga has initiated two Play-to-Airdrop campaigns, wherein game studios and guilds collaborated to host tournaments rewarding players with $SAGA tokens. Notably, Saga partnered across chains with Avalanche, Polygon, and Solana for the latter campaign, showcasing its commitment to cross-chain collaboration.

As part of its continued expansion, Saga also disclosed plans for its mainnet launch scheduled for April 2024. Liao expressed pride and anticipation for this milestone, highlighting over two years of dedicated efforts by the Saga core team to deliver high-performance, cost-effective infrastructure for web3 developers.

"While our mainnet launch marks a significant achievement, it also represents the beginning of an exciting journey for Saga and our community of innovators," remarked Liao.

Partnership with MarbleX

The team also recently entered into a partnership with MarbleX, a division of the South Korean mobile gaming giant Netmarble. Envisioning a future where web3 games operate seamlessly across multiple chains, the collaboration aims to connect in-game assets and improve the overall gaming experience.

Rebecca Liao, CEO of Saga, expressed optimism, stating: "MarbleX has a proven track record in web3 gaming, and we're excited about the potential to enhance MarbleX’s resources by collaborating with our Saga ecosystem."

Web3 Gaming Adoption

MarbleX has outlined three primary focus areas to expedite web3 gaming adoption: a multi-chain strategy, content acquisition with a focus on triple-A games, and proactive global marketing. Saga, as a Layer-1 protocol, boasts over 320 innovator projects, 80% of which are games, gearing up for its mainnet launch in Spring 2024.

Founded in 2022, MarbleX aims to bring high-quality blockchain games to the market, offering key services such as a cryptocurrency wallet, token staking, and an NFT Marketplace. Saga, built on Cosmos, expands its presence by bringing diverse ecosystems into its Saga Multiverse through strategic partnerships.

The collaboration signifies a comprehensive alliance to enhance Netmarble’s web3 arm, MarbleX. Saga's innovative Layer-1 protocol, featuring chainlets, provides flexibility and scalability to meet the dynamic demands of the global gaming market.

Mobile Gaming Asia

Beyond technological infrastructure, Saga's role extends to providing user acquisition capabilities to MarbleX. This strategic move aims to fortify Saga’s presence in the Asian mobile games market, projected to exceed $65 billion in 2024, and accelerate MarbleX’s global user base.

MarbleX's CEO, Hong Jin-Pyo, highlighted Saga's commitment to bridging the gap between traditional and web3 gaming, stating: “Saga has a brand truly dedicated to enabling the next generation of gaming. We have full confidence that Saga’s infrastructure can support the scale and quality essential for broad web3 gaming adoption.”
