Gamerboom (GB), an AI-powered gaming data platform, has announced the successful completion of a $9 million funding round, bringing its total investment to $11 million. The round saw participation from notable industry players, including NVIDIA, Solana, and Bing Ventures. This investment is expected to support the company’s expansion and further development of its AI-driven solutions in the web3 gaming space.
According to Gamerboom’s CEO, Zino, the funding will allow the company to scale its gaming data solutions and unlock new opportunities for web3 gaming. By leveraging artificial intelligence, the platform aims to enhance data collection and labeling processes within traditional gaming environments.
Where AI Redefine Gaming
Gamerboom functions as a data layer that integrates with web2 games. Using an AI tagging system, it collects in-game data while incentivizing players with rewards for completing specific tasks. This approach gamifies the data labeling process, making it both engaging and beneficial for players. The collected data is then utilized to train Gamerboom’s “Agent-as-a-Service” model, a system designed to improve AI-driven gaming solutions through what the company refers to as a “train to earn” process.
According to Gamerboom’s documentation, the platform had registered 955,000 users as of two months ago. This growing user base reflects increasing interest in AI-powered gaming solutions that offer players an opportunity to contribute valuable data while earning rewards.
Gaming AI Agent
Looking ahead, Gamerboom plans to introduce an entry portal that will enable users to create their own gaming agents. This expansion aligns with the broader trend of integrating AI capabilities within gaming ecosystems, allowing users to interact with intelligent virtual agents while contributing to AI model training. The company was also part of the Binance Most Valuable Builder Program in Season 8, which further highlights its recognition within the blockchain and AI-driven gaming sectors.
As artificial intelligence continues to play a crucial role in technological advancements, high-quality data remains a key factor in building effective AI models. Gamerboom’s approach of incentivizing players to collect and label data presents a potentially significant development in gaming and AI training.
Gamerboom's Partners
Gamerboom is not the only company exploring the intersection of gaming and AI-driven data collection. In 2024, Sapien AI raised $5 million in its seed funding round, introducing a similar “gamified AI labeling” solution. The increasing investment in such models suggests a growing interest in utilizing gaming environments to generate high-quality datasets for AI training.
As the demand for AI-driven applications continues to rise, companies like Gamerboom and Sapien AI are positioning themselves at the forefront of innovative data collection methods. By merging gaming with AI, these companies aim to create efficient and scalable solutions for training intelligent models.
