Our GAM3 Awards, a major event in the gaming industry, is returning this November 22nd 2024, with the highly anticipated ceremony taking place in person for the first time at the YGG Play Summit in Manila, Philippines. This event will highlight the achievements of web3 gaming developers, creators, and industry leaders, as the awards continue to recognize the best in the space. With a refreshed and diverse panel of jury members, this year's awards promise to set new standards for transparency and excellence.

Diverse and Esteemed Jury

The jury for the GAM3 Awards 2024 consists of more than 70 members, including returning professionals from 2022 and 2023, as well as new voices who bring their unique expertise to the table. This year’s panel reflects a wide range of perspectives from various sectors of web3 gaming, including venture capitalists (VCs), blockchain network representatives, ecosystem specialists, infrastructure partners, and content creators (KOLs).

Notably, leaders from mainstream gaming companies and tech giants such as Amazon and Google will join the jury, lending their knowledge and industry insights to the decision-making process. In addition, new participants from companies like Opensea, Oasys, and XAI will contribute to this year’s voting, providing fresh insights into the ever-evolving world of web3 gaming. Transparent Voting Process

The voting process for the GAM3 Awards has been carefully designed to ensure a fair and transparent outcome. The jury's votes will contribute 90% of the final decision for most categories, while the remaining 10% will come from community votes. However, for the "People’s Choice Award" and "Best Content Creator", the community will have full control, with 100% of the vote coming from fans. 

Additionally, the “Games' Choice Award” will give game studios the opportunity to vote for their top game of the year, adding another layer of industry involvement. This structure aims to create a balanced approach, combining expert opinions with community feedback to celebrate the standout achievements in web3 gaming. Lastly, the “GAM3 Changer” award will be given to an outstanding individual working on a web3 game - nominated by a game studio’s team members.

GAM3 Awards Nomination Process

The nomination process for the GAM3 Awards consists of three phases:

1. Phase 1: Nominations opened, allowing the community to nominate games and creators. If a game or creator is not listed, they can be added manually.
2. Phase 2: Voting commenced, with the jury casting their votes across various categories, narrowing the nominees to the top five in each category.
3. Phase 3: Voting opens to the public and the jury for the final selection, with community-exclusive voting for the People’s Choice and Best Content Creator categories.
